Jesus Christ is the One Lord, God Almighty (Deut. 6:4, Luke 2:11, Isaiah 9:6)

In Lee Strobel’s book, “The Case for Christ,” A journalist’s personal Investigation of the evidence for Jesus," there is convincing evidence that Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty. In this book, Lee Strobel interviewed a number of theologians, philosophers and scholars to find a Case for the historical Christ. The following are excerpts from his discovery.

According to an interview with Dr. Craig L. Blomberg, Professor of the New Testament, Denver Seminary, pages 21-36, Mr. Blomberg relays to Mr. Strobel, the premise that Jesus Christ is God himself and this fact is verified in the book of John. Mr. Blomberg asserts that, “Final judgment is based on one’s reaction to Jesus as God.”

Dr. Gary R. Collins from the University of Toronto said, “In an analogous way, Jesus didn’t just claim to be God – he backed it up with amazing feats of healing, with astounding demonstrations of power over nature, with transcendent and unprecedented teaching, with divine insights into people, and ultimately with his own resurrection from the dead, which absolutely nobody else has been able to duplicate. So when Jesus claimed to be God, it wasn’t crazy. It was the truth.” Pg. 148.

Third Interview: Edwin M. Yamauchi, PH.D., Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, said of Jesus, ….“all kinds of people from the cities and countryside – men and women, slave and free- worshiped him as God. pgs. 75, 87.

Lee Strobel said, ….“The fact that Paul, who came from monotheistic Jewish background, worshiped Jesus as God is extremely significant, isn’t it?” pg. 88.

Dr. Yamauchi, Yes,…. “Even Paul at this very early date was worshiping Jesus as God. pg. 89.

Church historian Jaroslav Pelikan has pointed out that “the oldest Christian sermon, the oldest account of a Christian martyr, the oldest pagan report of the church, and the oldest liturgical prayer (1 Cor. 16:22) all refer to Jesus as Lord and God. Pelikan said, “Clearly, it was the message of what the church believed and taught that “God” was an appropriate name for Jesus Christ.” Pg. 139.

Theologian Royce Gordon Gruenler concurred, The evidence for concluding that Jesus intended to stand in the very place of God is “absolutely convincing.” Pg. 142.

The Sixth Interview: Dr. Ben Witherington III, Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky, offered convincing evidence that even the earliest material about Jesus showed he was claiming to be God incarnate.” Pg. 132, 145.

Mr. Strobel writes, “The empty tomb, as an enduring symbol of the Resurrection, is the ultimate representation of Jesus’ claim to being God.” Pg. 205.

Thirteenth Interview. Dr. J. P. Moreland, Professor at the Talbot School of Theology, said, …..“While Christians teach a form of monotheism, they say that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God. This is radically different from what the Jews believed. They would have considered it the height of heresy to say someone could be God and man at the same time. Yet Jews begin to worship Jesus as God within the first decade of the Christian religion.” Pg.245, 246, 251.

Dr. Moreland answers Mr. Strobel’s question concerning baptism, “What about baptism?” ….“In the New Testament, people were baptized in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – which meant they had elevated Jesus to the full status of God. Pg. 253.

Dr. C. S. Lewis, Cambridge University professor said this about Jesus. “I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say.” Pg. 271.

Finally, Mr. Strobel says, “if my conclusion in the case for Christ is correct, your future and eternity hinge on how you respond to Christ. As Jesus declared. “If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins” (John 8:24). Pg. 271.

Based on Mr. Strobel’s investigation, we find that not only is Jesus Christ God, there is also a case wherein we can prove that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Understanding and Reconciling the Dual Nature of J...: "When reading the scriptures, try to understand how Jesus is using his words. Is he speaking as Man, is he speaking as God, or is he speakin..."

Understanding and Reconciling the Dual Nature of Jesus Christ

When reading the scriptures, try to understand how Jesus is using his words. Is he speaking as Man, is he speaking as God, or is he speaking as both God and Man. All Christendom realize that Jesus is the Son but they have a problem with Jesus being the everlasting Father – God Almighty (Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 1:8).

Think about this question. Are sins forgiven by man or by God? (Mark 2:5-7). This question has an answer that is understood, by most faiths, to believe that only God can forgive sins. When Jesus forgave
sins, he was demonstrating that he is God. In other words, he was showing his dual nature, he was in the flesh as man but in action, he was proving that he is God. Jesus is proving that he is infinite and finite at the same time. God is infinite, however, he begot himself a finite body for the purpose of salvation.

Let’s look at infinite and finite in relation to the nature of Jesus. Webster's New World Dictionary, Third College Edition, page 508,692

Finite means - anything that has measurable limits; capable of being reached, completed, or surpassed by counting.

Infinite means - lacking limits or bounds; extending beyond measure or comprehension; without beginning or end; endless.

Jesus is the only man in all creation who has had a dual nature. God has always remained One God throughout all his manifestations. At no time did God cease being One God. For Jesus has said "I and my Father are One.” This statement means Jesus and God are the same God (John 10:30). This revelatory statement proves that Jesus Christ is God and God is one. We know, as saints of God, that God is One and he will come back in a glorified body and that body will be the body of Christ. Look at these scriptures concerning the dual nature of Jesus;

Humanity (Jesus) - Deity (God-Jesus)

Man Servant - Philippians 2:7 - Lord & God - John 20:28

Son - Matt: 1:21-23 - The Almighty - Rev 1:8, 11

Flesh - John: 1:14 - Everlasting Father - Isaiah 9:6, John 14:9

Jesus the Creator - John 1:10 - God the Creator (Genesis 1:1)

When you read the new testament, look at how Jesus is speaking. Is he speaking as the Father (Deity) or is he speaking as the Son on earth? When Jesus forgives sins, he speaks as God. When he is hungry, sleeps, and doesn’t answer Deity questions, he speaks and acts as a man. When he calms the seas, he speaks as God.

On all these occasions, Jesus is speaking with a dual nature. In other words, Jesus is all God and all Man at the same time. Therefore, we must understand when he's speaking as God and when he is speaking as a Man to understand what he means at that time. In our own minds we have to come to terms with our own human logic concerning the dual nature of God because we don’t have anything to compare with the nature of God. Since this is a complex issue, the question will come to our minds; how do we reconcile the dual nature of Christ using the scriptures?

"RECONCILING THE DUAL NATURE OF JESUS IN THE OLD & NEW TESTAMENTS (Who is Jesus?)"

The whole purpose of this reconciliation is to show that Jesus Christ is the same God whether he was speaking to the prophets in the Old Testament or teaching the doctrine of Christ to the apostles in the New Testament.

The mystery of the gospel as delivered to the saints can be understood by reviewing the following scriptures in light of our new knowledge of Christ and who he is. These scriptures show how the promises to the Jewish nation were fulfilled by the arrival of the Messiah – Jesus Christ – God himself – The Lord – The manifestation of God (Deut.6:4, Luke 2:11, I Timothy 3:16).

These scriptures will answer the age old question, Who is Jesus? "WHO IS JESUS?"

Genesis 17:1 (The Almighty is God) - Rev. 1:8 (Jesus is the Almighty)

" JESUS IS LORD "

PERMIT ME TO INTRODUCE YOU TO " OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST "

How many scriptures would we need to become a believer that Jesus Christ is the only God? One (1) or 10 thousand (10,000)? Let me help you. If God says something once, that makes it so.

The preceding scriptures are condensed so you can get the full ramifications of the mystery of Christ in light of the New Testament.

With these scriptures you will see how the Spirit or Deity of God is used and its relationship to the Flesh of Jesus Christ Our Lord. However, to help you get a clearer picture of who God is; you must understand the Deity of Christ to understand the mystery of God.

Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: The apostles understanding was opened.: "Luke....24:44-48 In order to fully understand the revelation of Jesus Christ and the mystery of the gospel, God will have to open your und..."

The apostles understanding was opened.

Luke....24:44-48

In order to fully understand the revelation of Jesus Christ and the mystery of the gospel, God will have to open your understanding as he did with the apostles in Luke. It’s impossible to find a person who can fully understand the mystery of the gospel the first time it's shown to them without the help of the Holy Spirit. God himself will reveal the mystery and revelation of Jesus Christ to the person who will diligently seek him

After Jesus asked Peter who he was; Peter told Jesus that he was the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16:16). Jesus responded to Peter that flesh and blood had not revealed this to him. Jesus knew that only his own Spirit, the Father, reveals the mystery of the gospel. In Luke 24: 25-27, 44. Jesus is explaining to the apostles that Moses and the prophets were talking directly to him about his coming as the Messiah. Moses was speaking to Jesus, the Everlasting Father, and the prophets were talking about his coming in the form of a man (Isaiah 9:6, 53, I Corinthians 10:4).

There is no shame in not knowing who Jesus is, even though, you have been walking with him for many years. The apostles walked with Jesus daily, yet they did not know him until he opened their understanding. Seek the Lord diligently and he will personally open your understanding.

The mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of salvation. On many occasions, Paul, had expressed that his understanding of the mystery of the gospel, came through revelation (Eph. 3:1- 6).

Salvation is by grace from God and through faith in the saving power of Jesus name (Acts 2:38). Therefore, one doesn’t have to have a full revelation of Jesus Christ in order to be saved, however, he must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. According to Random House Webster’s College dictionary 2000, 2nd revised and updated edition. New York., N.Y. Diligently means constant and earnest in effort and application; attentive and persistent in doing something; done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking; a diligent search.

The mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ will be revealed to believers in the same manner as God revealed the revelation to Peter (Matthew 16:17). Flesh and blood cannot reveal this mystery to an unbeliever. One would have to seek the Lord diligently and pray for the wisdom and knowledge of God to get an understanding of how Jesus Christ can be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:19-22, II Corinthians 4:3-6).

There will be many of you who will see this revelation immediately because your heart is fertile ground. However, one would have to be careful that Satan doesn’t take this newly learned revelation of Christ out of your heart. Many people who don’t believe that Jesus is Lord will try to dissuade you from seeking more of the knowledge and mystery of Christ. They will try to tell you there is one Lord in the Old Testament, one Lord in the New Testament and one Lord who came back as the Holy Spirit.

The whole premise of my book is to explain to you that there is but one Lord who is the same Lord in both the Old and New Testaments and his name is Jesus Christ, the monotheistic God of Israel (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11, Ephesians 4:5). One would find that the mystery of Christ doesn’t fit with the traditions and dogma of some of the modern day churches. Some Churches today want to hold on to their paganistic views of the Trinity while ignoring the monotheism of God (II Cor. 11:13-15, I Tim. 4:1-2, II John 1:9, I Peter 2:8). One must seek the Lord/God for himself/herself and study to show that they are approved of God, then God will reveal himself to them.

What is "the Greatest Mystery" in the Bible?

Webster's definition of Mystery: Something unexplained, unknown, or kept secret. Anything or event that remains so secret or obscure as to excite curiosity.

The greatest mystery of the gospel is that there is but one God whose name is Jesus Christ. God said, "There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me." (Isaiah 45:21). God had three manifestations for the salvation of man, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. God himself was all of these manifestations not as a separate God or separate persons but as One God and one Person. God came down and begot himself a body which he called "Emmanuel." Emmanuel means God with us. That God with us is Jesus Christ (Matthew: 1:23, John 1:1-14, I Timothy 3:16).

Jesus Christ is God's highest name; for at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord - God. Compare Isaiah 45:23 and Philippians 2:10-11. The name of Jesus Christ is God's name for this dispensation and for the saving of man's soul. God has had many names to describe his actions to his people. The name Jesus Christ means Jehovah Saviour or one who has come to save – The Almighty. (Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 43:10-12, Matthew 1:23, Luke 2:11, Revelation 1:8).

Jesus is the Comforter, Jesus is the Light, Jesus is the first and last, Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus is the Judge, Jesus is the Shepherd, Jesus is the way, Jesus is the door, Jesus is the Life, Jesus is the Redeemer, Jesus is the Lamb, Jesus is the Creator, Jesus is the Holy One, Jesus is the Rock, Jesus is the Word, Jesus is Lord, Jesus is God, Jesus is the Saviour, Jesus is the Father, Jesus is the Son, Jesus is the Holy Ghost, and Jesus is the Great "I am,” all wrapped up in one God. (Isaiah 43:10-13, Mark 14:62 "I am,” John 8:58 "I am"). No man can have all of these attributes and not be God the Father. Jesus said, no man cometh unto the Father but by me (John 14:6-11).

This is the "Mystery" that the world has rejected, neither can they see because it is hidden from the wise and the prudent and given unto babes (Luke 10:21).

**NOTE** Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life (John 5:39).
** They profess that they know God but in works they deny him (works-baptism-Titus 1:16)
** Don’t be deceived by the philosophy of men (Colossians 2:8-10).

God will open your understanding to his mystery if you are willing to believe and have an open heart to the understanding of his Word. God walked and talked to the apostles and he had to open their understanding of who he was based on their knowledge of the Old Testament.

Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, the Great Commission and being born again

Let me tell you a story. On 8/16/04 at approx. 5:35am, I woke up with “keys of the kingdom of heaven” on my mind. “Keys of the kingdom of heaven” is a revelation that God gave me in the process of finishing my book, “Understanding the Trinity.” Understanding the “keys of the kingdom of heaven” is not a new interpretation in the Bible. It has always been there, we just never noticed it.

Let’s go to the King James Version of the Bible to understand where this statement, “keys of the kingdom of heaven” came from. In Matthew 16:13-19, Jesus gave Peter the “keys of the kingdom of heaven.” Now, listen to me. If Jesus gave Peter the “keys of the kingdom of heaven,” that action must have been extremely important to salvation wouldn’t you think? This is the question? Why don’t preachers preach about it? Why is it that no one seems to question; what are the keys of heaven and how they were used?

The “keys of the kingdom of heaven” were used on the day of Pentecost to open the door to the Church. Peter’s statement in Acts 2:38 opened the door to the church. Jesus is the door. Peter opened the door to Jesus Christ with the keys. Peter’s statement also satisfies John 3:5. We must be born of the water and of the Spirit. How does the keys fit with water and Spirit. First, we must understand the keys.

The keys are based on the words that Peter would say, which is “the rock of our salvation.” The “rock of salvation” is based on the name of Jesus Christ. Therefore, when Jesus said to Peter, “upon this rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it,” Jesus was speaking of his name which is the “rock of salvation” that would be spoken by Peter on the Day of Pentecost. “The keys of the kingdom of heaven” which is also the “Rock of salvation” are found in Acts 2:38. The keys are;

1st Key. Repentance beginning in Jerusalem (in Jesus Name) (Luke 24:47, Acts 1:4, 5, 12-15).

2nd Key. Be baptized in the of Jesus Christ for remission of sins-Jesus Christ–Water (John 3:5).

3rd Key. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of Jesus Christ) (John 3:5).

Some might say, I have heard about repentance and receiving the Holy Spirit, what do you mean about being baptized in Jesus name? First of all, each Key is based on the “Rock” – Jesus name.

Let’s take a look at the baptism in Jesus name.

The baptism in Jesus name was a result of the great commission in Matthew 28:19. Jesus told the Apostles to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. In order to understand what Jesus is saying, one would have to know who Jesus is. The scripture says to baptize in the name not his titles.

In Acts 2:38, Peter didn’t baptize in the titles, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Peter did exactly what Jesus told him to do. Peter admonished his audience to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The name of the Father is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1, 10, 14, and 14:6-9). The name of the Son is Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:21-22, Mark 1:1, Galatians 4:4), and the name of the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ (John 14:26, Romans 8:9-11).

Therefore, in order to be “Born Again” of the water and of the Spirit, according to John 3:5 and Acts 2:38, one must repent, be baptized in water in “Jesus name” for remission of sins and receive the Holy Spirit, a gift from God because of God’s grace and our faith and belief in his name. The blood is in the name (Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20, Acts 20:28, Romans 3:25-26, 5:9, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 13:12). We are buried with him in baptism (Romans 6:4, Col. 2:12, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-8, I Corinthians 1:13-15, Colossians 3:17). There is no other name whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Thus, the baptisms of repentance, the Holy Spirit, etc., is inclusive in the one baptism in Jesus’ name. There is only One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism (Ephesians 4:5). And that One baptism is in the name of Jesus Christ. In addition, that one baptism in Jesus name is the solid rock upon which Christians stand and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it(Acts 4:12, Matthew 16:18).

There will be some that won’t believe. Don’t be discouraged. God will reveal his truths only to those who will believe his Word. An unbeliever will never see it. God has blessed you with this understanding. Use it as a witness and a blessing for you and your family. Pass this on to preachers, teachers, and evangelists whom you love and respect. Some will believe, others will not. Don’t be alarmed, let them go. Pray for them because only God will be able to help them.

Let's share the mystery and knowledge of Jesus Christ to the world. Another method of witnessing is to share our personal testimonies about how we came into the knowledge of Christ and the baptism in Jesus name. The Keys of the Kingdom of heaven (Matthew 16:19), the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), and the born again experience of salvation (John 3:5) were first carried out by Peter in Acts 2:38.

Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Three Manifestations of one God

Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Three Manifestations of one God: "The word manifestation is one of the key words that is used throughout this book. One would have to understand manifestations and how thos..."

Three Manifestations of one God

The word manifestation is one of the key words that is used throughout this book. One would have to understand manifestations and how those manifestations were used in the Bible to understand the oneness of God. God has used more than three manifestations to communicate with man. However, God used three major manifestations of himself for the salvation of man (I Timothy 3:16).

God manifested himself as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These manifestations of God aren’t more than one person as we have been led to believe. God is one Person. We will address how God used some of these manifestations to communicate with man (Hebrews 1:3).. The Random House Webster’s College Dictionary helps us understand manifest and manifestation;

1. Manifest – Readily perceived by the eye or the understanding; evident.
Manifestation - Outward or perceptible indication: materialization.

To start, I would like to give you a brief overview of the titles that God has used. Titles are a major area of concern for Christians in terms of the manifestations of God. The main issue is that most Christians who have erred - have also mistakenly taken the titles of God to mean the names of God (Matthew 28:19). God did not say to baptize in his titles, rather, God said to baptize in the name. Therefore in our research, we should look for a name, wherein we should be baptized rather than titles. The name in Matthew 28:19 is revealed in Acts 2:38, and the entire book of Acts.

Let’s take each of these manifestations and give you an understanding of how they were used in the liberation of Israel from Egypt and the overall plan of salvation for man. God has manifested himself in the midst of a burning bush. (Exodus 3:2-6). God had appeared as a cloud by day and fire by night (Exodus 13:21-22, 33:9-11,40:34-38). God has appeared in a thick cloud, smoke, thunder and lightning (Exodus 19:16). God has appeared as the Father in the Old Testament scriptures and Ephesians 4:6. God has appeared as a Man - the Son (Matt 1:21, Ephesians 4:4). God has appeared as the Holy Ghost with the phrase “in you all” (Ephesians 4:4-6).

Let’s look at it another way. God the Father begot himself a body and became a person in the form of Jesus Christ whom He referred to as his Son, the anointed flesh of God - The Messiah (John 14:8-9, John 1:10, II Corinthians 5:19). After Jesus was crucified, this same God, changed and glorified himself in the body of Jesus Christ. God glorified himself. He would not give his glory to another (Isaiah 42:8). God's glorified body was received up into heaven, and this same God changed himself again and came back to earth in the form of the Holy Spirit. "The Spirit of Christ or The Spirit of God,” both are correct because Jesus Christ is God - The Spirit of God. Understanding this fact, one can understand 1Timothy 3:16. “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of Angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” This is another strong scripture that proves that Jesus Christ is a manifestation of God himself and there is no other God or persons in the Godhead. Let’s look at how God our Saviour and Our Lord Jesus Christ fully satisfies this scripture. (Isaiah 43:10-12, Luke 2:11).

1. Jesus Christ is the God who was manifested in the flesh (John 1:1, 10, 14, II Corinthians 5:19, Revelation 1:8).

2. Jesus Christ is the God who was justified in the Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18).

3. Jesus Christ is the God who was seen of angels (Psalms 148:2 (Spirit), Matthew 4:11 (Flesh), Hebrews 1:6-8.

4. Jesus Christ is the God who was preached unto the Gentiles (Mark 16:15-16, Acts 9:15-16).

5. Jesus Christ is the God who was believed on in the World (Matthew 28:17, Acts 2:36-47).

6. Jesus Christ is the God who was received up into glory (Mark 16:19)

In summary, in the book of Timothy, we can see that there is no question that the manifestation of Jesus Christ is God himself. God can change himself into any form He chooses, to communicate with man, to save man, and still be the same God - one God. God tells us in Hebrews 1:1-3 that at different times and in various ways He has spoken to the prophets. But in these last days he has spoken to us through his fleshly body – Jesus Christ – his Son. Therefore, we should not be confused (Hebrews 1:3,8). There are not, two gods, three gods, nor three persons of God. One God changed himself into many forms to communicate with man. However, for salvation, God changed himself into the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost (I Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:8-12).

The Three Persons of one God

There is a Trinitarian belief that states that there are three persons in the Godhead and those three persons make One God. God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit, who are three separate and distinct persons. In my reasoning, you have told me you believe in either three gods, three persons or both. Even if you think of three persons in the Godhead, that is untrue. Is there a scripture which challenges Job 13:7-8, Hebrews 1:1-3, II Corinthians 5:19, John 14:9 and Colossians 2:8-9, which clearly states that God is in one person? Based on God’s Word, the Trinitarian doctrine is very confusing, unsound, and doesn’t make sense.

One thing we must not forget is that there is only one Person in the Godhead, and that one Person is Jesus Christ. (Malachi 1:6-10, Hebrews 1:3, Philippians 2:6, 10-11, Colossians 1:13-19, Colossians 2:8-10). The other two manifestations, the Father and The Holy Spirit are manifestations of a Spiritual, one Person God and not persons in the classic sense of the word. When we read about the attributes of the manifested Spirit of God in different contexts, we believe they are persons, but they are not; they are and always will be one Spirit and one Person in a different form. (I Corinthians 10:4, 12:13, Ephesians 4:4).

God tells us that He has communicated with us in many forms but He is one Person and He speaks to us through Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:1-3). There is not a scripture in the whole Bible which specifically identifies God as Persons. “Persons” is a manmade concept and “tradition of men” which tries to explain the Deity of God. The Trinity is “an assumption” that God is three persons. Colossians 8-12, explains that the Deity of God is in the one body of Jesus Christ and we are complete in him. This scripture also makes it clear that we are buried with Jesus Christ by baptism (Acts 2:38).

Again, look at Hebrews 1:2-3, God tells us that in the last days, He has spoken unto us by his Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. (John 1:10, I Corinthians 8:6, Colossians 1:14-19). Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. The “Right Hand of the Majesty on high” means the highest position of power in the realm of God. In addition, the person referred to in this scripture is Jesus Christ, the express image of God. If you would notice that the word “person” is singular.

There is only one person in the Godhead, not three as we have been taught through our traditional Trinitarian philosophy. If God wanted us to know He was more than one person surely, God is wise enough to identify himself as persons without us making an assumption that He is three persons. And because of the wisdom of God, He identified himself as “one person” in Job 13:6-9 and Hebrews1:3.

If we believe that God is true, He only has to speak one time and that makes His Word true. We don’t need any other scripture to verify his Word unless we didn’t understand what God said the first time. God has always maintained that He is one person, which is consistent with his Words in the Old Testament. The Old Testament Words are now revealed in the New Testament.

Jesus stressed the oneness of God with the phrase, “The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. (Mark 12:29). It is biblically incorrect to speak of God as a trinity of persons. “Persons” in reference to God is not in the Bible, nor is there a commandment to worship three persons. This makes the doctrine of the Trinity an unsound doctrine because it can’t be proven. There is no man on this earth who can prove the existence of a Trinity in God. We can use human logic and traditions to think that God is three persons but the Trinity is unscriptural. The Trinitarian doctrine should never be associated with the Christian faith. True Christians are strictly monotheistic (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11, Mark 12:29, Philippians 2:6, 10-11, Colossians 2:8-10).

How is it that Trinitarians will tell God that He is three persons? If I were a Trinitarian, I would read these scriptures over and over until I get it. Let’s do an experiment which will tell you immediately whether God is three persons or one person. If you know your Bible, find a scripture anywhere in God’s Word where He refers to Himself as three persons. Then let me show you where God has spoken of himself as one Lord and one person (Deuteronomy 6:4, Job 13:7-8, Luke 2:11, I Corinthians 10:4, II Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9, Hebrews 1:3).

God will not contradict himself. God is one Lord and one person and He has revealed himself as one person in the face of Jesus Christ. (Deut. 6:4, Luke 2:11, II Corinthians 4:6).

Who was Apollos and what was the "more perfect way?"

Apollos was a Jew from Alexandria, Egypt Jews for the most part, wrote the Bible and started Christianity. However in these last days Christianity has been perverted by the Gentiles who started bringing in a pagan styled “three person” concept of who God is; in conjunction with their traditions of men (Colossians 2:8-12).

However, there are preachers who are like Apollos and would like to learn more about the gospel of Christ so that they might follow the dictates of Jesus Christ and the doctrine of the apostles. Some pastors and preachers of today also want to find a more perfect way. They are willing to drop their philosophy and traditions of men for the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

Apollos was an eloquent man who was well versed in the Old testament scriptures. He wanted to find out whether all things that he was learning were true. Apollos being a Jew, understood the oneness of God and he knew, based on his training, that Jesus would be the same God who spoke to the prophets out of heaven in the Old Testament (Corinthians 10:4).

Apollos was an exciting man, a preacher and missionary who was fervent in the spirit. He taught the things of the Lord and that the coming of the Kingdom of God was near. Based on his knowledge of the scriptures, Apollos taught his followers that John was the one crying in the wilderness and people should come to repentance and be baptized according to John’s baptism.

The only thing that Apollos knew was what John had taught him (Acts 18:24-26). He knew that the person of whom John would identify, would be God, “the Christ.” The Jews only believe in one God, and that one God, they knew; would be the Christ, in the form of a man (Isaiah 9:6).

Look at this scripture, Isaiah 40:3. We know that; not only is Jesus the one Lord (Ephesians 4:5, Isaiah 41:4, Luke 2:11, Revelation 1:11) but he is also the one God Almighty (Isaiah 9:6, 40:5, 41:10-11, 48:12, Revelation 1:8). Apollos knew based on John’s teachings that Jesus, who is called “The Christ,” would be the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, no question about it.

Once Apollos found out from Aquila and Priscilla that one should be baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Spirit; he started teaching the disciples of John that there was “a more perfect way.” (Acts 18:28). We know that the baptism in Jesus name and receiving the Holy Spirit was taught to Apollos because Aquila and Priscilla were disciples of Paul who taught the same gospel everywhere he went (Acts 19:1-5). Therefore, Apollos becomes a disciple of Paul through Aquila and Priscilla. He started preaching the same things (Jesus is God, “The Christ” and the baptism in Jesus name was right and that John’s baptism was a forerunner to the real baptism in Christ).

In the same manner as Apollos, preachers today are eloquent, speak well, articulate, strong in the scriptures and men of God who have walked with the Lord for years. However, they need to know “a more perfect way” as it was taught by Paul and the apostles.

A number of modern day preachers have received training in the Old and New Testaments. Being strong in the scriptures they should search the scriptures further. With the new light of the scriptures, Bible scholars will see the same things in the scriptures that was revealed to Apollos, Peter, Paul, Aquila and Priscilla.

Today preachers should search for the oneness of God and “How to be Born Again,” in the New Testament. They should search the scriptures to find out whether these things are true or not.

A More Perfect Way - A Story about Apollos

Paul stayed in Corinth with Aquila and Priscilla for a year and a half and worked with them because he was also a tent maker. After a year and a half, Paul moved with them to Ephesus where Aquila and Priscilla offered their home to the Christians for church service. While in Ephesus, Aquila and Priscilla met Apollos who was speaking in the synagogue about the gospel that John had taught him concerning repentance and baptism. When they heard him speak, they took him aside and taught him the way of God more perfectly (Acts 18:24-26).

What was the more perfect way? The more perfect way taught by Aquila and Priscilla was that Jesus is God, “the Christ,” and that the disciples of Apollos should be baptized in Jesus name, rather than the baptism of repentance taught by John. When Apollos went to the brethren in Achaia, he convinced the Jews, by the scriptures that Jesus was God, the Christ. (Acts 18:28).

Aquila and Priscilla risked their lives for the gospel that Paul was preaching because they knew Paul was right according to the scriptures. Paul preached that Jesus was God (“The Christ”) and you must repent, be baptized in Jesus name and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit according to Peter (Acts 2:38) and Paul (Acts 19:1-5). Aquila and Priscilla believed Paul’s teachings were right according to the scriptures, therefore, they were willing to suffer with him. Paul acknowledged their hard work and gave thanks to them for their sacrifice (Romans 16:3-4). Thus, Apollos was excited to know that he was taught the true gospel by these saints of God in a more perfect way.

Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Paul Teaches the baptism in Jesus name

Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Paul Teaches the baptism in Jesus name: "(I Corintians 1:10-16, Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:8-12) When Paul started his teaching mission to the Gentiles..."

Paul Teaches the baptism in Jesus name

(I Corintians 1:10-16, Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:8-12)

When Paul started his teaching mission to the Gentiles, he came to Corinth and approved the baptism of Crispus and many of the Corinthians, who believed on the Lord. They baptized them in the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 4:12).

We know Paul approved the baptism (Acts 19:1-5) of the Corinthians in Jesus name because that was the only way he had people baptized. For example, When Paul was traveling the upper
coasts of Ephesus he found 12 disciples of John and Apollos. Paul asked them if they had
received the Holy Ghost since they believed. The disciples hadn’t heard about the Holy Ghost.

Therefore, Paul asked them about their baptism because when the saints were taught about
salvation and receiving the Holy Spirit, they were taught to be baptized in Jesus name.

The disciples explained that they were baptized unto John’s baptism. Paul explained to the disciples that John baptized unto repentance and they should believe on the one who would come after John. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Let me ask you a question? Why would these disciples get baptized in Jesus name without giving reasons why they should not? The reason: They believed on the name of the Lord Jesus and got baptized in Jesus name without question because there is no other name whereby we are saved. Why are today’s Christians so critical about the Jesus name baptism? The reason is that the spirit of the anti-christ is in the world today and that spirit is against anything associated with Jesus name, including baptism in the name of the Lord.

According to Paul’s teachings we are to search the scriptures to find out whether Jesus is God and to understand that we should repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Listen, Paul’s teaching is the same gospel that Peter preached on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:14-38). And this gospel of Jesus Christ is the same gospel that was taught to Apollos by Aquila and Priscilla who were disciples of Paul.

Today: You can learn “a more perfect way” through your personal research of the scriptures. You will also learn about the faith, actions, and teachings of the apostles as mentioned in the book of Acts. Use the King James version of the Bible as your primary reference.

We would have to search for ourselves to see if we are really teaching as Paul taught the Jews in the synagogues or are we teaching a doctrine based on the traditions of men? All Pastors, preachers, teachers, evangelist and scholars; should search the scriptures and follow the lead of Paul and Apollos and understand that there is “a more perfect way.”

Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: People, in the Bible, who were baptized in Jesus ...: "There is only one way to be baptized according to the word of God and that’s in the name of Jesus Christ. There are no recordings of people..."

People, in the Bible, who were baptized in Jesus Name

There is only one way to be baptized according to the word of God and that’s in the name of Jesus Christ. There are no recordings of people being baptized in the titles of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19). Baptism in these titles doesn’t exist in the New Testament and is not used for salvation. Baptism in Jesus name is both scriptural and accurate (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3, Ephesians 4:4-6, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:8-12).

In order to understand Matthew 28:19, you would have to know that Jesus Christ is the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Reference Acts 2:38, Colossians 2:9).

Research the following incidences of people who were baptized in Jesus name;

1. Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus was demanded by Peter (Acts 2:38, 10:48 ).

2. Three thousand souls of Jerusalem were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins (Acts 2:37, 38, 41).

3. Philip, Peter, and John Practiced baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. The people of Samaria was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 8:12,13,16).

4. The eunuch was baptized by Philip who believed in the Jesus name baptism (Acts 8:35-38).

5. Paul was baptized calling on the name of the Lord (Acts 9:18, 22:13-16).

6. Gentiles were baptized in the name of the Lord; Peter commanded that Cornelius and his whole household be baptized in the name of the Lord. (Acts 10:44-48; 11:15-17).

7. Lydia and her household were baptized in the presence of Paul who believed in the baptism in Jesus name (Acts 16:14,15).

8. Paul believed in the baptism in Jesus. Paul stressed to the Corinthians the importance of the baptism in Jesus name because he was crucified for them (I Corinthians1:13-17).

9. The Disciples were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus After the disciples were given a better understanding of the gospel, they were re-baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus by the direction of Paul (Acts 19:1-5).

10. Paul preached to the Romans to be baptized into Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6).

11. Paul baptized others in Jesus name Crispus, Gaius and the household of Stephanas were baptized in Jesus name by Paul (I Corinthians 1:14-16).

12. The Galatians were baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:26, 27).

13. The Colossians were buried with Jesus Christ in baptism because of their faith in the operation of God (Colossians 2:12-14 - an example of “faith with works”). Now you can see how we are in a state of Apostasy because we don’t baptize in Jesus name. Paul warned us of this falling away from the faith (Galatians 1:6-12). “We have left the faith”

God is revealing to us in these last days that we have gone wrong and we must return to the faith of our fathers. If we don’t believe this gospel, we will fall into the outer darkness of our own traditions, philosophies and vain deceit of our own minds (Colossians 2:8-10).

To be saved by the water and the Spirit, one must take on the name of Jesus by baptism. There is no other name under heaven given to man whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Being baptized in the name of the Lord always follows belief in the name of Jesus Christ.

Listen, the scriptures can’t be any clearer than Paul’s instructions to the Colossians (Colossians 3:17). “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Folks, that means everything including baptism.

Again, don’t forget Moses. God told him to speak to the rock and Moses struck the rock. Moses didn’t follow God’s instructions precisely. Therefore, God would not allow him to go to the promised land. Would the Lord treat us any differently than he did Moses? Following the Lord’s commandments is extremely important. Let’s not miss Peter’s instructions in his first sermon (Acts 2:1-42). And let’s do everything in the name of the Lord including baptism (Colossians 3:17).

Now, let’s take a look at scriptures which verify that the baptism in Jesus name is correct. Luke 24:44-47. Jesus opened the apostles’ understanding. Look at verse 47, “And that repentance and remissions of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” This verifies baptism in Jesus name starting in Jerusalem, Acts 2:5-38.

In John 3:5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man is born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. This born again scripture was preached and verified in Acts 2:38. The water and the Spirit was first applied to the soul of man, by baptism in Jesus name, beginning at Jerusalem, Acts 1:4, 2:1-38. Romans 6:3-7. “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” This verifies the baptisms, in Jesus name, in the book of Acts, beginning in Jerusalem, recorded in Acts 2:1-38. This also verifies God’s Word in I Peter 3:21. “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Romans 12:5. “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”

We are baptized into one body, by putting on the name of Christ through baptism in Jesus name beginning at Jerusalem (Acts 2:38, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:8-12).

I Corinthians 1:13-15 says, “Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.” This scripture verifies that baptism is performed in the name of the person who was crucified for the saints. This verifies that the baptisms, in Jesus name, in the book of Acts are correct. This also verifies Peter’s instructions in Acts 2:38.

I Corinthians 12:12-13. “For as the body is one, and hath many members of that one body being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” We are baptized in one body, in the name and Spirit of Jesus, beginning in Jerusalem, Acts 2:38.

Galatians 3:26-29. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” This scripture verifies that we are to be baptized in Jesus name in order to receive the promise. This promise was spoken to us when Peter preached his first sermon. The promise was the redemptive power of the blood through the name of Jesus Christ (God) and the reception of his Holy Spirit beginning at Jerusalem, Acts 2:38-39, Joel 2:27-29.

All nationalities are free to enjoy the salvation of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Study to show that you are approved of God and that you are called according to his purpose.

Research the following scriptures for other examples of baptisms. Mark 16:15, 16, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 16:14, 15-31, 33, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:4-5. Believers know that there is only one baptism and that’s in Jesus name. There are not two baptisms, one in Matthew 28:19 and one in Acts 2:38. One must understand what Jesus said to understand the one baptism mentioned in Ephesians 4:4-5. When a believer reads a scripture about baptism, there is no question about how the baptism was to be performed.

*NOTE* For this is the true Gospel and the application of the death, burial, and resurrection of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If anyone would try to go up to heaven any other way, they are a thief and a robber.
No man comes to the Father except through the door and the door is Jesus Christ. The only way that you will be able to come to the Father is by being baptized in Jesus name. You must come through the blood of Christ. It doesn’t matter who you are; a preacher, teacher, evangelist, apostle, prophet, whatever you are, we all have to go through the door. And that door (Jesus Christ) was opened by Peter with the “keys of the kingdom of heaven” (Acts 2:38).

When we follow the directions of Peter, we will find the door to Jesus Christ. If you are a preacher it’s your responsibility to spread the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

What does "the Great Commission", being "Born Again" and the "Keys of the Kingdom of heaven" have in common?

(Webster's definition of Commission: An authorization to perform certain duties or tasks, or to take on certain powers. Authority to act on behalf or another)

MATTHEW...................................28:18-19

How was the great commission carried out?
How does this relate to the keys of the kingdom of heaven?
What are the keys of the kingdom of heaven?
When and how were the keys used?

Men and brethren, what shall we do?

The “Real Born Again Scripture” Revealed

ACTS...............................2:38

(This is the Revelation of John 3:5. How to be born again by the water and the Spirit)

“These are the “Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven” used by Peter on the Day of Pentecost.

Key #1. Repent (Mark 1:15)
Key #2. Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, 22:7-16)
Key #3. Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:16-18, Joel 2:28)

Now, let’s go back to the question that was asked by Nicodemus. How can I be born again? (John 3:3). Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born of the water and of the Spirit (John 3:5). Peter’s words in Acts 2:38 is the answer and the fulfillment of the question that Nicodemus asked the Lord, “How Can I be born again?” Peter is giving the answer and method of being born again through the water and the Spirit in Acts 2:38. Since Peter had the “keys of the kingdom of heaven,” God was giving instructions through Peter on how to be "BORN AGAIN.” What did the keys do in Act 2:38?

1. The keys were used in the first sermon to open the door to the church (Matthew 16:19). Jesus Christ is the door that was opened on the Day of Pentecost.

2. The keys clarified the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19.

3. The keys explained that God Name is Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38, Colossians 2:9).

4. The keys answered the question, what must I do to be saved (born again)?

5. The keys teaches us how to apply the death, burial and ressurection of Jesus Christ.

6. The keys showed us how to apply the blood of Jesus to the souls of men by baptism in Jesus name (Romans 6:3, Colossians 2:12).

7. The keys explained how the water (baptism in Jesus name) and Spirit (Holy Ghost) were used (John 3:5).

8. The keys verified Jesus answer to the question on baptism in Mark 16:16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

9. The Keys shows us the rock upon which the church is built (Rock - Jesus Christ through baptism).

10. The keys are the culmination of the gospel message of salvation.

Some Trinitarian churches might want to believe that Peter didn’t follow the instructions given by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let’s review;

" DID PETER FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY OUR
LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST? "

I had an opportunity to speak with Dr. Ray Kloepper who is a man full of wisdom and knowledge about the Word of God. I’m grateful for the time that he has taken to participate in the evaluation of this book.
Dr. Kloepper’s comments were used to bring clarity to the baptismal event in Acts 2:38. In Dr. Kloepper’s review, he wrote, when reconciling Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38, there are only 3 possible conclusions;

1. Peter misunderstood Jesus’ instructions
2. Peter deliberately disobeyed Jesus’ instructions
3. Peter clearly understood and obediently followed Jesus instructions.

This made a lot of sense to me. Let’s see how Dr. Kloepper’s statements make sense in light of our research. Based on his statements we should get a better understanding of what Peter heard and whether he followed the instructions given to him by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus told Peter and the disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

NOTE: (Name is singular) (Matthew 28:19)

1. "of" the Father - Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6 - The Everlasting Father; John 8:19, John 14:6-9, John 12:45)

2. "of" the Son - Jesus Christ (Son is born-Luke 1:31,35, Matt. 1:21, II Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:13-19)

3. "of" the Holy Ghost - Jesus Christ (The Comforter is sent in my name, John 14:26, The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9-11, II Corinthians 3:17)

NOTE: The word " of " is the beginning of a prepositional phrase referring to the subject which is "NAME." There is no other name whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

1. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other "NAME" under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. I feel so saddened sometimes just to know that most Christians don't understand what this scripture means in its relationship to the baptism in Jesus name. There is no other name, for we are to do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 4:12, Colossians 3:17).

God did not give any other name to be baptized under, neither did he give us permission to disobey the apostles in baptism. Certainly, God did not give us permission to use the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for baptism. We must discover what is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Jesus has said, I come in my Father's name (John 5:43) and Jesus also said, the Holy Ghost would come in his name (John 14:26). When we understand the name, we will understand why all of the apostles baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. All the apostles in the book of Acts baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Search the scriptures. How can Christian followers overlook the book of Acts. Can't they see that the apostles did everything in word or deed in the name of the Lord Jesus. I have heard some Christian followers say, who are we going to listen to; Peter telling us to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ or Jesus when he said to be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost?

Holding up the Bible, I usually ask them, whose Word is this? This is not Peter's word alone, this is God's Word and God doesn’t contradict himself. If there is a contradiction, it's in our own mind. If we could only believe that Jesus is the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, then we could understand what Peter said on the day of Pentecost when he said you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. We will also understand how we are to be buried with him in baptism.

3. We are buried with him in baptism (Colossians 2:12). We are buried into Jesus, the Rock, by being baptized in his name. The baptism signifies the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The blood and the name of Jesus are inseparable. When a bride gets married, she takes on the name of the groom. By the same token, we take on the name of Jesus Christ by being washed in his blood by baptism. We should do everything in Jesus name.

4. Do everything in word or deed in Jesus name (Colossians 3:17). This scripture tells us to do everything in Jesus' name. How can we baptize people any other way when the scriptures plainly tell us to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. God forbid if any pastor, deacon, evangelist or teacher, do or teach anything different.

Paul and the apostles only taught the gospel of Christ and baptism in Jesus name (Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12). Paul said, even if an angel from heaven tells you something different than what we have heard, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:6-12). This is a serious statement because most Christian churches don’t teach the baptism in Jesus name, therefore, according to Paul, they are accursed. I’m sorry but I didn't say it. God said it through Paul.

If I were a pastor, preacher, minister, evangelist or teacher, I would want to get the scholars in my church to search the scriptures and discuss the ramifications of this old/new knowledge of Jesus Christ. I would ask them to suggest ways on how we could teach and administer the baptism in Jesus name to the congregation. It's time churches get back on track with the true meaning of Christianity and the apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42). Then we will understand how baptism saves by giving us a good conscience toward God.

5. Baptism saves (I Peter 3:21). This scripture is interesting because some Christian followers don't believe that baptism saves. There will be some who will say baptism alone doesn’t save a person. At this juncture, the person has told us, in his words, that the Bible is wrong.

The Bible tells us that baptism saves by giving us good conscience toward God (translated “clear conscience”). Who is right, God or man? Look at it this way. Baptism comes with belief and repentance. The only way one can get into heaven is by being washed and cleansed by the blood of the lamb. The blood of Jesus gives remission of sins and washes man's soul. For without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Therefore, the baptism saves by the washing of the blood of Jesus Christ, which gives us a good conscience that we have followed God’s Word. Following our baptism, we know that we have been baptized into Christ (Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12).

6. Baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:27). Why would modern Christians want to change the way the apostles baptized new believers in the New Testament. Early Christians were always baptized in the name of the Lord because that was the only way they received remission of sins and the only way the blood was applied to their soul. If the apostles were in error or made a mistake, then all Christendom is in error because we are mandated to follow the acts of the apostles. If this baptism was good enough for the apostles, it's good enough for my family and myself.

When the apostles were baptizing people in the name of Jesus, why didn't God correct them if they were wrong? God didn't correct the apostles because they were doing exactly what he had commanded them to do. God would not have allowed his gospel to be polluted by the apostles performing an incorrect baptism.

Now that you can understand what I am saying about the baptism in Jesus name. Now, let’s see who were baptized in Jesus name? (to be continued)

What is the difference between a Trinitarian Christian, Ditheistic/Binitarian Christian, and a Oneness Apostolic Christian?

These terms will be fully explained in my next book. However, I would like to say that most of the Protestant Christians churches in the world today are Trinitarians and they are not strictly monotheistic. To be specific, the three most prominent Christian faiths are as follows;

Trinitarian Christians – Trinitarian Christians believe that there are three persons in one God. This is a type of tritheistic, polytheistic and/or paganistic doctrine. They are not strictly monotheistic, even though, they say they are. There are no scriptures to verify the Trinitarian Doctrine. The Trinitarian doctrine is an assumption about the nature of God and is not a sound doctrine because it is not in the Bible and can’t be logically understood based and the Word of God. (Colossians 2:8-9, I Timothy 3:16, II Timothy 3:16, Titus 1:9, 2:1). (Example: Most protestants are Trinitarians. Jehovah’s Witnesses, Unitarians and oneness Apostolic Christians are exceptions)

Ditheistic/Binitarian Christians – Ditheistic/Binitarian Christians believe that there are two separate deities. For example: One big God – the Father and one lesser god – The Son. In other words, one god is subordinate to the other God. This is a polytheistic, subordination type doctrine. They are not strictly monotheistic, even though, they say they are. There are no scriptures to verify a Ditheistic, Binitarian, or Subordination Doctrine. Ditheism is not a sound doctrine because it is not in the Bible and can’t be logically understood based on man’s knowledge of the Word of God (Colossians 2:8-9, I Timothy 3:16, II Timothy 3:16, Titus 1:9, 2:1). (Example: Jehovah’s Witnesses, Unitarians)

Oneness Apostolic Christians – Oneness Apostolic Christians believes that there is only one God and that one God has put the fullness of his Godhead in the body of Jesus Christ – Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9. John 1:1-14 (God was made flesh), John 14:7-9 (Jesus is the everlasting Father - Isaiah 9:6), Acts 9:1-5 (God speaks out of heaven and tells us his name – Jesus). This event on the road to Damascus proves that Jesus Christ went back into his Spirit form in a type of Spiritual body - I Corinthians 10:4), II Corinthians 5:19 (God was in Christ), Colossians 1:14-19 (The fullness of God is in the body of Christ Colossians 2:8-12, which verifies I Corinthians 10:4).

In other words, Oneness Apostolic Christians believe that the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost mentioned in Matthew 28:19, is Jesus Christ and that name is verified in Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-5, and all of the baptisms mentioned in the book of Acts of the apostles. Oneness Apostolic Christians are strictly monotheistic and believe in the full Deity of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6 - The everlasting Father), I Corinthians 10:4 (Jesus Christ in his Spirit form before birth), I Timothy 3:16 (Jesus is a manifestation of God himself – John 1:14, I John 1:1), I John 5:20 (Jesus is the only true God), Jude 1:25 (Jesus Christ in the only wise God our Saviour – Isaiah 43:11) Revelation 1:8 (Jesus is The Almighty God).

Oneness Apostolic believers are in total agreement with the Jews and Muslims concerning the absolute oneness of God, even though, we disagree on his nature (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11). Oneness Christians can prove the oneness of God because it is clearly laid out in the Old and New Testaments. However, the mystery in the New Testament and the gospel of Jesus Christ is not given to the wise and prudent for it is hidden to them that are lost. The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers (Isaiah 5:21, 29:14, Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21, I Corinthians 1:19, II Corinthians 4:3-4). Let’s get an understanding of how the mystery of God is revealed through salvation and the born again scripture Acts 2:38. Oneness/Apostolic Christianity can be understood, it’s a sound doctrine, and it is verifiably in both the Old and New Testaments.

Can you explain to me three Persons in One God?

There is not one person on this earth nor the new earth to come who will be able to explain three persons in one God. Why? Because God never said it. God said, Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4). Three persons in one God is a manmade concept first alluded to by a Catholic Bishop by the name of Tertullian (325 A.D.).

In 324-325 A.D., the Roman emperor Constantine had heard that there were disagreements among the Catholic Bishops. Therefore, Constantine needed to get all of the Bishops of his empire together so that they could come to an agreement on Church doctrine.

The Catholic fathers of the early church were invited to come to Nicaea, all expenses paid, by Constantine, to determine which day would be used to celebrate Easter and to determine the true essence of God. Constantine’s main purpose of the council was to get an agreement on the Deity and essence of God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Constantine’s empire and the Church were inextricably intertwined, therefore, there was a requirement for the bishops to agree on religious principles so that the state could support their agreement. Constantine was not so much concerned about the “Church doctrine;” Constantine was more concerned about an agreement among the bishops and the stability of his empire.

The friction among the Catholic Bishops would affect Constantine’s policies and could bring about rebellion and insurrections among the people. Therefore, the Council was convened to stress to the Bishops that an agreement on doctrine was absolutely necessary.

Under this new doctrine Constantine would decree that all subjects would become Christians and believe in the doctrine that was formulated by these Catholic Bishops. Thus the Trinitarian “doctrine of men was born.” This Trinitarian doctrine was stated in a creed called the “Nicene Creed” 325 A.D.

In 381 A.D., at the Council of Constantinople, the “Nicene Creed,” with a few modifications, was formally adopted as the Trinitarian doctrine of the Christian Church. This Nicene Creed evolved to include parts of the “Athanasian Creed,” which stated that there are three Persons in one God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This creed was to be taught by all Christian churches worldwide (David K. Bernard, The Oneness of God, pg. 277).

Those who would call themselves Christian and would not adhere to nor support the doctrine of the Trinity would be killed. There was no room for insubordination nor decent from this newly formed Trinitarian Doctrine.

The first major decent from the Catholic Church was started by Martin Luther who started the Protestant movement. However, Martin Luther’s protestation was not concerning the doctrine of the Trinity. Martin Luther protested the fees that were being charged to the people by the Catholic Bishops for spiritual blessings. During Martin’s protest and all during the reformation period, the Trinitarian Doctrine was kept as the official doctrine of the Christian church. Even though the Trinitarian Doctrine is not a doctrine of God and was not mentioned in the Bible, this false doctrine was never formally challenged by any of the Protestant Churches. We know that God is not a Trinity of 3 persons. God is a God of one Person.

God speaks of himself as one Person in Hebrews 1:3. Why? God speaks to us figuratively and symbolically, on more than one occasion, so that we can understand in human terms what God is saying. For example; God’s right hand, after God’s own heart, making the earth his foot stool, etc. Other than Jesus Christ, these terms don’t mean that God literally have these fleshy parts in his Spirit. God, in his Spirit, speaks to us in human terms so that we can understand him on our intellectual level.

In this book, “Understanding the Trinity,” I have taken God’s own Words in Hebrews 1:3, to declare and build on the oneness of God’s Person. The foundation and the whole premise of this book is not to limit God’s majesty but to declare the oneness of God in one Person. The full majesty and glory of God is in one Person - Jesus Christ – same Person - same God in both Spirit and Flesh (I Corinthians 10:4, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9).

In conclusion, God speaks to us so that we can understand him in human terms. Therefore, when God speaks of himself as a Person; this Personage of God has the highest attributes and majesty of Jehovah himself. Certainly God doesn’t indicate that he is less than God when he calls himself a Person. We know as oneness Christians that God is not bringing himself down to our level. When God tells us that Jesus Christ is the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his Person. God is letting us know that this Person is who I am – One Person and One God.

God has always said in his Word that he is one Lord and one Person (Deuteronomy 6:4, Job 13:7-8, Luke 2:11, Hebrews 1:3). Therefore the Trinitarian Doctrine is not a Doctrine of God. The Trinitarian Doctrine is a doctrine of men (Colossians 2:8-10). It is a doctrine that is the total opposite of what God said about himself.

The Trinitarian doctrine is a figment of man’s imagination, not God’s. The Trinity is not true and it is a fable about the Deity of God and the oneness of his Person in the face of Jesus Christ (John 1:1-14, I Timothy 1:4, II Timothy 4:4, Titus 1:14, II Peter 1:16). God, based on his Word, doesn’t support a Trinitarian concept of three persons in one God (Isaiah 43:3, 10-11, 44:8, 45:15, 22-23, Philippians 2:6-11). God is a God of One, and not a God of three Persons, which is a form of tritheism or polytheism. True Christianity is strictly monotheistic.

Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Is Baptism Necessary for salvation?: "(John 3:5, Mark 16:16, I Peter 3:21) This is a question that has given most Christians a problem in trying to explain the salvation message..."

Is Baptism Necessary for salvation?

(John 3:5, Mark 16:16, I Peter 3:21)

This is a question that has given most Christians a problem in trying to explain the salvation message and the baptisms that were performed by the apostles in the book of Acts. We would like to have everyone go to heaven so we have a tendency in our own minds, doctrine, and unbelief to say that people don’t have to be baptized. We want to make it so easy that we miss the whole point of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. First, let’s make one thing clear. Jesus Christ himself said on two occasions that baptism is necessary for salvation.

In John 3:5, Jesus answers Nicodemus by saying, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (Ref: Acts 2:38 – Baptism in Jesus name (water) and reception of the (Holy Spirit).

In Mark 16:16, Jesus says, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Ref: Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12).

There is no question that these scriptures tell us that baptism is absolutely necessary and if we don’t believe it we cannot enter into the kingdom of God and we will be damned.

Why would anyone try to correct the Words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by saying, “one must believe in his heart and confess with his mouth and he is saved” (Romans 10:9-13). This scripture must be taken in context to mean that confession is made unto salvation. Once you have made a confession of faith, the Lord will guide you to repentance and baptism in Jesus name for remission of sins (Acts 2:38, Acts 4:12, Romans 6:4, 10:13, Colossians 2:12). There is a danger in trying to take God’s Words and try to make them conform to your own belief system rather than rightly dividing the Word of truth.

If you don’t get baptized nor believe in baptism, your sins cannot be remitted. Jesus Christ died for our sins, therefore, we must be washed in his blood by water baptism in his name, the most powerful name of God (Acts 4:12, Romans 6:4, I Corinthians 1:13:-15, Colossians 2:8-12).

In Romans 6:3, Paul tells us, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

In Romans 6:4, Paul said. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life.”

In Colossians 2:12, Paul tells us that we are: “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead”

In Peter 3:21. God speaks through his Word and tells us that baptism saves. Isn’t this the same thing that Jesus said in Mark 16:16? Baptism gives us a good (clear) conscience toward God. Therefore, when we meet our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, our conscience will not condemn us because we have obeyed the gospel. We would have been baptized (washed) in the blood of Jesus Christ our God and Saviour (Acts 2:38, 20:28, II Thessalonians 1:7-12, Jude 1:25).

Based on these scriptures and others, baptism saves by remission of sins and is absolutely necessary for salvation. Let me give you a clear example of a statement that the spirit of the antichrist would say. But first let me say that an antichrist is anything or person that is against what Christ would say; whether in statement or in deed.

This is the antichrist statement: Baptism is not necessary for salvation. This statement is against Christ and the gospel message. This statement is against what was taught by Jesus Christ himself and the apostles who were taught by Christ (John 3:5, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 19:1-5, Romans 6:4, and Colossians 2:12, I Peter 3:21).

The Word of God is extremely clear on this matter, yet unbelievers in the Word of God will try, through the spirit of the antichrist, to get you to believe something totally different from what God has so clearly stated in his Word. If one doesn’t believe in baptism according to God’s Word, he is an unbeliever.

God gives everyone an opportunity to believe that baptism saves because he said it. And if you don’t believe baptism saves according to the Words of Jesus Christ himself, you will be damned (Mark 16:16).

Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: Why is God’s Name so important and how is it used ...: "To understand the importance of God’s name, one would have to have some knowledge of how God used his name in the Old Testament. God’s hig..."

Why is God’s Name so important and how is it used in salvation?

To understand the importance of God’s name, one would have to have some knowledge of how God used his name in the Old Testament. God’s highest power, majesty, and glory is in his name. In addition, the right hand of the power of God and the whole essence of God is in the power of his name.

First, let’s take a look at some of the ways that God has used the power of his name in the Old Testament. Then we will go to the New Testament to show you how God used the power of his name for the salvation of men through the born again experience.

In Genesis 32:29. Jacob knew the power and importance of a name according to his Hebrew training and traditions. The name of an individual is the whole essence of that person. It was understood that if you knew God’s name, you would be able to call on God’s power and build a relationship with the Almighty God. God’s power is in his name. Therefore, when God, in the form of a man, wrestled with Jacob, Jacob wanted to know his name. Jacob not only wanted to build a relationship with God, he wanted to know God’s name so that he would remember this event because he perceived that he had seen God face to face. God didn’t give him his name, neither did he give Moses his highest name because God’s power and the whole essence of his being is in his name. Let’s take a look at Exodus 2:13-14, 6:2-3, 9:16, 20:24, 23:21

When we look at Moses and his relationship with God, we can see how God communicated with Moses and his prophets. We can also see the importance of God’s name as it relates to his actions in a particular dispensation. Moses wanted to know God’s name but God told Moses to tell Pharaoh his name is “I AM.” This was not God’s highest name but Moses and the Pharaoh would recognize him by this name. God’s sustaining power is in the majesty and essence of his highest name.

God did not reveal his highest name to the prophets in the Old Testament. God’s highest name would be used in the plan of salvation and his name would be identified in the New Testament as Jesus Christ - Acts 4:12.

First, let me give you a number of scriptures for your research so that you can get an understanding of the power, majesty and sacredness of God’s name in the Old Testament.

Leviticus 18:21, 19:12, Numbers 6:27, Deuteronomy 18:19, Judges 13:18, II Samuel 7:13, 12:28, I Kings 5:5, 8:16-29, 9:3-7, 11:36, II Kings 21:4,7, 23:27, I Chronicles 22:8, 10, 28:3, II Chronicles 6:5-9, 7:14-20, Nehemiah 1:9, Psalms 89:24-26, *91:14-16, Isaiah 9:6, 29:23, 41:25, 42:8, 43:7, 48:9, 11, *52:6, *65:1-2, *66:5, Jeremiah 7:9-14,30, 12:16, 14:14-16, *16:21, *23:2527, 25:29, 27:14-19, 29:9, 21, 23, 32:34, 34:15-16, 44:26, Ezekiel 20:9, 14, 22, 44, *Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 1:6, 11, 14, 2:1-5, 4:2.

God gives us warnings that we should not profane his name. God’s name is sacred and we should reverence the name of God. Once we understand that God’s power is in his name, then we can understand how his name is used in the born again experience.

Now let me give you some scriptures so that you can understand the revelation of God’s name and how it was and is used in the New Testament.

Matthew 10:22, 18:5, 20, 19:29, 24:9, Mark 9:37, 39, 41, 13:13, 16:17, Luke 9:48, John 14:13, 14, 26, 15:16, 21, 16:23-26, Acts 2:38, 4:12, 8:12, 16, 9:15-16, 10:48, 15:17, 19:5, 22:16, Romans 6:3-4, 9:17, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12, Revelation 2:3, 13.

If we would do our due diligence, we will understand that God’s ultimate power is in his name. Let me ask you a question? If God used the power of his name to save the Jews from their calamities in the Old Testament, why wouldn’t he use his name to save his people in the New Testament? Now, the next question is this; what is his name and how is it used in salvation? Let’s take a look at the following scriptures.

Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalms 136:3, Acts 4:12, 20:28, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9, 10, 12, I Timothy 3:16, 6:15, Revelation 1:8, 17:14, Revelation 19:16.

Now, let’s put it all together. We know that God is Lord of lords and King of kings and he has a name. We know that God is the everlasting Father and he has a name. We know that God is the first and last and he has a name. We know that the lamb is God and he has a name. We know that God is our Saviour and he has a name. We know that God was manifested in the flesh and he has a name. We know that we are complete in him and he has a name. We know that the Godhead is in him and he has a name. We know that God shed his blood and he has a name. We know that we were buried with him using his name. We know that salvation is in God’s name. And We know that we receive God’s Spirit in his name. We know that there is only one Almighty God and he has a name. And we know that God uses the power of his name.

Now, what is God’s name and how are we saved by his name? Based on all of the scriptures, we find that God’s highest, glorious and most majestic name is Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

If we would look at Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38, we will find that we are not to be baptized in God’s titles. We are to be baptized in his name. Why? Because according to the whole Bible, God’s power is in his name. God used the power of his name in the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The salvation of God and the power of his name is used in one baptism. By using the baptism in Jesus name, we can see how we are buried with him by baptism and we can see how we are washed in his blood by the power of his name. God uses the miraculous cleansing power of his name to perform the born again experience. We now have the name of the only God of heaven and earth applied to our hearts by the Holy Spirit. The name of God has the power to wash our souls so that we can receive the complete born again experience. The titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles of God and not his name. We must be baptized in the name of God for salvation to be effective (Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12).

God has always used his name for the salvation of his people. Why would he change? If we could understand the synergy of the scriptures, then we would see how God continues to use the power of his name for the salvation of his people throughout the New Testament.

If we search the scriptures, we will find that Matthew 28:19 is one of the most misunderstood scriptures in the Bible concerning God’s name. Unbelievers will never see the true meaning and power of God’s name in this scripture. Why? Because in this scripture, God is speaking directly to his saints not to unbelievers.

Unbelievers will never get it. They will try to use philosophy to explain this scripture according to their own traditions. The whole gospel message is based on salvation and the understanding that we are saved by and through the Holy name of one God whom we have found out to be our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Isaiah 43:11, Luke 2:11).

At what point are we saved? At the reception of the Holy Spirit or at the baptism in Jesus Name?

The purpose of a question like this is to wrest with the scriptures so that God’s Word will in some manner support traditional beliefs or non-belief in the operations of God and his method of
salvation. However, there might be some who sincerely want to know the answer to this type of philosophical question.

Let’s do this. Let’s go to God’s Word. (Matthew 9:13, Mark 1:4, Romans 2:4, II Timothy 2:25). Based on the Word of God, we must first repent. After repentance there is no specific order in the operation and salvation of God. However, the full operation must be completed before salvation is complete. According to God’s Word we must; 1. Repent 2. Be baptized in Jesus name 3. Receive the Holy Spirit. This is the salvation message taught by the apostles (Acts 2:38). If someone would challenge or wrest with this, do part of it, or ignore it altogether, the consequence will be to their own hurt.

Now, there have been a number of occasions where people have received the Holy Spirit without first being baptized in the name of the Lord. However, once the apostles saw people receiving the Holy Ghost, they always made it clear to them that they should be baptized in Jesus name (Acts 10:44:48).

Why would baptism in Jesus name be necessary seeing that they had received the Holy Ghost? There is evidence to support the fact that the apostles felt that the baptism in Jesus was absolutely necessary to complete the salvation experience (Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12).

Today, we have seen people repent, get baptized in Jesus name and then receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. In my experience, I have seen it both ways. I have seen baptism in Jesus name before and after the reception of the Holy Ghost. There is no specific order other than
repentance which must come first (Acts 8:14-16, 10:44-48).

The Bible doesn’t indicate at what point we are saved. Why would we need to know at what point we are saved? Are we trying to find out what we can leave out? Are we trying to see if we can leave out repentance? Are trying to see if we can leave out baptism in Jesus name? Are we trying to see if we need to receive the Holy Spirit? Are we trying to see in our own wisdom if our traditions fit with God’s instructions, are we trying to find out if there is some other way to be saved, are we trying to find out if this or that is necessary for salvation? Why do we wrest with the scriptures?

God has given us clear instructions that we must follow. Why would we take a chance with our souls? Would we feel safe knowing that we have the Holy Spirit and haven’t obeyed the scriptures by baptism in Jesus name according to the apostles’ directions (Acts 19:1-5, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12)? Would you feel safe being baptized in Jesus name and not receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit? How would you feel knowing that the Holy Spirit has led and guided you into the truth of water baptism and you have refused to be baptized in Jesus name? How would you answer the Lord if he asked you, why weren’t you baptized in my name seeing that I have told you in my Word what you needed to do? Why didn’t you obey (II Thessalonians 1:8, I Peter 4:17)?

God orchestrated salvation. He alone decides who will or will not be saved and at what point we are saved. He told us what to do in his Word. And we will be judged by the Word. The Word will determine whether we have obeyed the actions of the apostles beginning with Peter (Acts 2:38). Obedience is one of the main tenants in God’s Word and his salvation.

Don’t wait and don’t ignore so great a salvation. Just believe in the name of Jesus Christ and have faith. God will reveal salvation, the born again experience, and his Word to you.

What must I do to be saved or born again?

There are three scriptures in the Bible that addresses this question. The point that I would like to get across concerning salvation is that all scripture points to salvation which is the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The belief in the redemptive act of Jesus Christ leads one to repentance, baptism in Jesus name and the reception of the Holy Ghost as mentioned in Acts 2:38, which is also “the keys of the kingdom of heaven” mentioned in Matthew 16:19. According to Matthew 16:19, and Acts 2:38, the keys are; Key #1. Repentance, Key #2. Baptism in Jesus Name, Key #3. Reception of the Holy Ghost. Let’s take a look at these scriptures to see the continuity of God’s Word according to Acts 2:38.

1. John 3:1-5. In this scripture Nicodemus wanted to know how to be born again. Jesus said except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. This scripture was consummated in Acts 2:38. The water was the baptism in Jesus name and the Spirit was the reception of the Holy Ghost. (Romans 6:3, Colossians 2:12)

2. Acts 2:37-38. In this scripture we see an example of the first sermon of the new church preached by the apostle Peter. After the sermon, the people were pricked in their hearts, so they asked Peter and the apostles what must they do. In other words, what must we do to be saved or born again? Peter told them in Acts 2:38 that they must repent, and be baptized in Jesus name for remission of sins and they shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

3. Acts 16:27-34 In this scripture one would have to have knowledge of the history of the gospel and the method of salvation. The jailer asked Paul what must I do to be saved? They said that he should believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. What happens at this point is that most people who don’t know or don’t want to know the gospel will stop right there. However, one must read the rest of the scripture which says they spake the word of the Lord (gospel) to all that were in his house and they were baptized. How were they baptized?

Well we know that Paul only baptized in Jesus name according to Acts 2:38 and Acts 19:1-5. In fact, Paul himself was baptized in Jesus name Acts 22:16. I know that some won’t believe in the baptism in Jesus name, therefore, the Word of God will become a stumbling stone because of their unbelief. They will try to manipulate God’s Word to follow their own philosophies and traditions of unbelief. They deny the power in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, thereby, following the doctrine of devils. They will not mention God’s name in baptism nor his Spirit in their traditional form of salvation which comes out of the mouth of men (II Timothy 3:5).

Why do I hear “Oneness” preachers always talking about Acts 2:38, Acts 2:38, Acts 2:38? Does that mean we can be saved with one scripture?

First let me say that you don’t need to know anything about the Bible to be saved. The only thing that you need to do is believe in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You need to understand that God died for your sins, was buried, and he rose again.

Thus, God will save you by his grace and through your faith in the power of the name of Jesus Christ. This question will open your understanding of the power of God’s Word in one scripture.

First let’s go back to the whole purpose and plan of God concerning salvation. The whole purpose and focus of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is to bring man back to God (II Corinthians 5:19). In other words, in order to consummate his Word and bring us back to him, God put together a plan of salvation. All scripture points to salvation and the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Now, we might ask, when was the plan of salvation consummated? The whole plan of salvation is consummated in one scripture – Acts 2:38. This is the scripture which explains and tells us how to use the death, burial and resurrection to invoke the born again experience. This scripture tells us exactly what we must do to be saved. One cannot make a mistake because this is the only scripture for salvation. The Bible is replete with scenarios and activities that point to salvation and the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38 is unquestionably the only born again scripture in the whole Bible (John 3:5, II Timothy 3:16-17). God shows us in Acts 2:38 how all these scriptures are synergistic and point to salvation in Jesus name.

In Acts 2:38 we see that;

1. Jesus is the Rock (God) that brought Israel out of Egypt (I Cor. 10:4).
2. Jesus’ name is the Rock and foundation upon which the church is built (Matthew 16:18).
3. Jesus is our advocate and high priest who died for us (I John 2:1, Hebrews 2:17, 3:1, 4:15).
4. Jesus is the Word of God and the one Lord God Almighty (Revelation 1:8, 19:13).
5. Jesus is God, the Holy One, and King of Israel. (Psalms 89:18, Mark 1:24, Acts 3:14).
6. Jesus is the Messiah – the everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 28:19, John 14:6-9).
7. Jesus is the Messiah – the Son of the living God (Matthew 1:21, 23, 16:16).
8. Jesus is the Messiah – the Holy Ghost (John 14:17, 18, 26).
9. Jesus is the “I am” of the Old Testament (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58).
10. Jesus is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29, 36, I Peter 1:19).
11. Jesus is the Lamb and the Almighty God (Rev. 6:16, 7:9, 17, 15:3, 21:23).
12. We are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ which is the blood of the Lamb (Rev. 7:14).
13. It shows the Lamb as Lord of Lords and King of Kings – The Almighty (Rev. 17:14).
14. It proves that Jesus is Lord of Lords - the only Potentate (I Tim.6:14-16, Rev.17:14, 19:16).
15. It proves that the Lamb is the groom and we are the bride (Rev. 19:7-9, 21:9).
16. It confirms that the 12 apostles belong to the Lamb (Jesus) (Rev. 21:14).
17. It shows Jesus Christ as the Lamb - slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8).
18. It points to Jesus Christ as the Almighty God who is also our Saviour (Isaiah 43:10-15).
19. It shows that God was in Christ reconciling the world back to himself (II Corinthians 5:19).
20. It proves God’s name is Jesus Christ – (Matthew 28:19, Isaiah 48:12, Revelation 1:8-11, 18).
21. It proves that the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19).
22. It proves that the fullness of the Godhead is in Jesus (Colossians 2:1-10).
23. It explains the mystery and knowledge of Jesus Christ (I Timothy 3:16, II Timothy 3:16).
24. It proves that the name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ (John 14:15-21, 26).
25. It proves that baptism is performed in a persons’ name (I Corinthians 10:2, I Cor. 1:12-15).
26. It shows how God’s death, burial, and resurrection was consummated (Isaiah chapter 53).
27. It shows us how to perform and apply the blood of Jesus Christ by baptism - book of Acts.
28. It proves that God purchased the Church with his own blood (Acts 20:28, Heb. 9:12, 13:12).
29. It answers Nicodemus’ question in John 3:1-5. How to be born again – water and Spirit.
30. It shows how the Sabbath (Ten Commandments) is applied to our hearts (Jeremiah 31:31-
33, Ezekiel 36:26-27, Hebrews 8:8-13).
31. It explains the “keys of the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 16:19).
32. It opens the door to God (Jesus Christ is the door opened with the keys - Matt.16:19).
33. It’s the beginning of the Church (Acts 2:1-42).
34. It’s the first sermon and altar call of the new Church (Acts 2:1-42).
35. It is the first example of the great commission. (Matthew 28:18-20).
36. It confirms that repentance and remission of sins was first taught in Jerusalem (Luke 24:47,
Acts 2:5).
37. It confirms how the Church was built on God’s name - The Rock (Jesus Christ–I Cor. 10:4).
38. It shows how we are to put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
39. It shows that we are buried with him by baptism (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12).
40. It confirms the importance of knowing Christ and being baptized in his name (John 8:24).
41. It confirms the warning about the unbelief in the baptism in Jesus name (Mark 16:16).
42. It confirms the prophesy of Joel (Isaiah 53:1-12, Acts 2:16).
43. It confirms that Jesus Christ (the Holy Ghost) will be in those that believe (John 14:17, 18).
44. It shows the redemptive act of God (Isaiah. 43:25, Rom. 3:24, Eph. 1:7, 14, Heb. 9:12, 15).
45. It shows how God glorified himself in Jesus Christ (Isaiah. 42:8, Psalms: 86:9, John 13:31-32, 16:14, 17:1, 5).
46. It confirms that Jesus came back as the Holy Spirit (John 14:17-18, 26).
47. It proves that there is one Lord (Jesus), one faith (Apostles) and one baptism (Jesus name)
(Ephesians 4:5).
48. It proves that Jesus Christ is the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit) (John 14:6, 17).
49. It proves that John 3:5, Matthew 28:19, and Acts 2:38 is the gospel message of salvation.
50. It solidifies the redemptive act and puts a seal on the salvation of man – (Acts 2:38).

Certainly, these are not all the scriptures that point to salvation but if you want to take one scripture and just believe in just that one scripture, without learning the whole foundation of the Word of God, you can be saved using Acts 2:38 as a foundation. You are saved by your belief in the name of Jesus Christ and the faith in his redemptive act. You must believe that Jesus is the one that died for your sins and you must believe in the power of his name which carries his blood. You are saved by grace through faith in the power of Jesus name.

In other words, in order to be born again, one should repent, be baptized in Jesus name and God will fill that soul with his Holy Spirit. This scripture concludes the redemptive act of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It tells us how we are to apply the blood to the soul of man using this great redemptive work of God.

Unbelievers will not believe that they must be baptized in Jesus name according to God’s Word, therefore, God has shown us how to recognize these people as unbelievers. Unbelievers don’t understand what Jesus says when he speaks (Matthew 28:19). They have crept in unawares. They don’t understand nor will they do what God told them to do (Matthew 15:8, Mark 16:16, Galatians 5:7). They will not obey God’s Word because they would rather believe in fables and the traditions of men rather than follow the truth of God’s Word (Colossians 2:8-10, II Timothy 4:3-4).

If you are a believer, you will repent and get baptized in Jesus name (blood) for remission of sins, thereby, receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, then you are saved by grace through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ (water) and God’s (Spirit), as Jesus said in John 3:5.

Believing on the name of the Lord Jesus will lead you to repentance and baptism in his name. For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Therefore a believer can be saved just by believing and following the command of this one scripture – Acts 2:38. This is the true “born again” scripture.

Wait a minute, are you really saying that I can be “born again” with one scripture? Don’t take my word for it. Research it for yourself. See if you can find any scripture in the Word of God wherein the culmination of the gospel message is preached. If you are sincere and you want to be saved, God will give you the revelation of Acts 2:38.
