At the baptism of Jesus there is proof of the oneness of God

Matthew 3:13-17

The miraculous baptism of Jesus. During the baptism of Jesus we find that God is saying, in so many words, he is in Jesus. 17th Verse. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Jesus can say that my Father and I are one, meaning the same because God is in Jesus Christ based on John 1:1, 14, 14:8-11, and Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9.

The Spirit and the Flesh is one God. Therefore, Jesus is God, for the Father is in Jesus. This scripture blends with and verifies II Corinthians 5:19. God tells us again that he is in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. In Matthew, we can see the three manifestations of the one God. We see the Holy Spirit represented by a dove, The Son in baptism, and we hear the voice of the Father in his Spirit form. Some might say, you see, there are three persons. This is not true. What you see and hear are three manifestations of the one God.

This demonstration is for John, his disciples and the multitude. This also demonstrates that Jesus and the Father are one (John 10:30, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9). The purpose is to clarify that Jesus is his Son and he is well please to be in him (II Corinthians 5:19). This is not a demonstration to prove that God is three persons nor three separate personalities.

God is showing us at the baptism of “Christ” that he will operate in three different manifestations for the salvation of man and these three manifestations will be in the body of Christ (Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9).

Isaiah foretold the coming of God and His name is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 40:3, Matthew 3:3)

Matthew 3:3

Isaiah foretold the coming of God. John is the voice crying in the wilderness according to the prophecy of Esaias (Isaiah). John’s declaration is - Jesus is both Lord and God  (John 20:28).

In Isaiah 40:3, we find out that Jesus is the manifestation of God whom Isaiah prophesied would come to earth in the flesh. This also verifies Matthew 1:23, John 1:1-14, II Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:19, 2:9, I Timothy 3:16 and Revelation 1:8.

Again, let’s look at the scripture in Isaiah. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. If you will notice in Isaiah he says, “make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

In Matthew 3:3, John says “Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Therefore, this same God in the Old Testament is the same Lord in the New Testament. Jesus is the one Lord who is God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11).

Therefore, we can conclude that Jesus is both Lord and God. Not three personalities in one God.  God is one personality, one Lord, one God, and one Person (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:5, John 20:28, Hebrews 1:3).
