In the book of II Peter there is proof that Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty (Isaiah 9:6, I Corinthians 10:4, Revelation 1:8)

II Peter 1:2

Verse 2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Translation:

May the grace of God and his peace be multiplied through the knowledge of God in his Spirit form and the knowledge that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and that he is a manifestation of God himself.

II Peter 1:8-21

This scripture shows us how important it is for us to know about the Knowledge and mystery of Jesus Christ. Paul, the apostle of Jesus Christ was constantly preaching and teaching about the excellency of the knowledge and mystery of Christ. He counted everything else as nothing except for the knowledge and mystery of Christ. Peter tells us that if we lack this knowledge of Christ, we are blind. We don’t have this knowledge of Christ because we have forgotten that we were purged from our old sins by the blood of Jesus.

If we search the scriptures and seek after the knowledge of Christ, and obtain it, we will never fail. Peter told them that they should remember who Jesus is because they heard God speak out of heaven, from the holy mount. God also let them know that he was in the body of Christ. God said, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Look at what God is saying. God’s power and Heavenly Spirit is in the body of Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:19, 2:8-10). This is the same thing God said at the baptism of Jesus (Matthew 3:17). Peter is admonishing them that they should remember these things. God was walking among them in the form of a man. God spoke out of his excellent glory that he was in Christ. This is of no private interpretation, this is a fact.

This is the prophecy which was foretold by the holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. They knew that God would come in the flesh as the Messiah. But some might say these things are hard to understand.

II Peter 3:15-18

These things are hard to understand. Peter wrote to the brethren concerning the mystery of God. Peter spoke of Paul and the revelations that were hard to understand but the saints understood what Paul was teaching. Paul’s epistles reminded the saints that there was nothing greater than the knowledge and mystery of Jesus Christ. This knowledge is the revelation that Jesus was God in the flesh – God himself. He also warned the saints that they could be led away by the unlearned, unstable and the wicked. Those that are unstable will wrestle with the Word of God, trying to prove their own philosophy and that God’s Word is somehow not true according to their traditional beliefs.

Some Christians today try to prove that God is three separate persons. God never said that. God has said in his Word that he is one Lord. In their efforts to prove God’s Word is in error, they will usher in their own destruction.

The knowledge and mystery of Christ doesn’t have anything to do with a “Trinity,” it’s not in the Bible, therefore, Paul admonished the saints to beware because they could be led astray by this type doctrine and philosophy of men (Colossians 2:8-10). We as saints are to be steadfast in the knowledge of Jesus Christ; for he is our Saviour and the one God of all principalities and powers whether they be visible or invisible. We know that we have seen and touched God (I John 1:1-2).
