In the Bible there is proof that the Apostles knew the mystery that Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty (Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 1:8)

The disciples knew the mystery of Jesus being the Messiah and not some other God that Jehovah had made based on the prophecies of the Old Testament and the actions of Jesus in his daily walk on earth.

Jesus used the parable of the sower to explain how people would or would not believe the mystery of the Word of God. He taught us that everyone would not understand the gospel because of the condition of their hearts. Jesus told his disciples that the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven were given to them and not to unbelievers. Jesus also spoke to them on many occasions explaining to them that they had the understanding of his sermons. However, he still explained it to them so that they would get a clearer understanding of what was said and how it relates to the gospel and salvation. Jesus went on to say that people would hear the word yet they would not hear with an understanding of what was said. People would see the word in the scriptures and in action and they still would not see with an understanding.

Let’s look at Matthew 13:14 which is about understanding God's Word. Isaiah spoke on many occasions about Jesus being the mighty God and The everlasting Father. Even today, people will hear and see and not understand, nor will they believe this scripture in Isaiah that says Jesus is The everlasting Father. People will say, how can Jesus be his own father, not knowing the power of God and leaning to their own understandings (Isaiah. 9:6).

Solution: One will have to believe the Word first and understand that Jesus is God, “The Messiah.” We should not lean to our own understandings. God is not “three persons in one God.” God is One God who used three manifestations of himself. Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Scriptures in the Old and New Testaments testify of Jesus because he is “The” God who made heaven and earth (John 1:10, John 5:39).

In summary, there are people who will hear with their ears that Jesus is God in the flesh according to John 1:14. They will hear by sermons, singing and Christian witness and not hear with their mind, neither will they believe with their hearts. They will read in God's Word that Jesus is God in the flesh, “The Messiah” and still not see. They won’t believe nor understand that Jesus Christ created the heavens and the earth (John 1:1, 3, 10, 14, Colossians 1:14-19). If people could hear and see that Jesus is the Almighty God, then they will get the understanding of the mystery in their hearts and be converted (Matthew 13:15).

Let’s take a look at II Thessalonians 1:7-8. “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Note: This is a very serious scripture that will cause one to be judged on their knowledge of who Jesus is and the belief or unbelief in the gospel of Christ. For example: Do they know that Jesus is the one and only true God, the Father, and did they repent and get baptized in his name, which is being washed in his blood?

To understand who Jesus is, one must understand the gospel; repentance, baptism in Jesus name and the reception of the Holy Ghost – John 3:5, Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38 and the entire book of Acts. You must understand that Jesus Christ is the only God - Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1, 3, 10, 14, I Timothy 3:16, I John 5:20, Revelation 1:8, etc. Jesus is not another God that God made. Jesus Christ is God himself. The scriptures teach us that Jesus is God and our Saviour and the apostles knew Jesus as the Messiah - God in flesh.

Now that you have found God’s name, how could you not believe that Jesus is the only God? Permit me to introduce you to our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, The Rock and Chief Corner Stone of our salvation. The name Jesus Christ is the Rock and he is the Word of God (I Corinthians 10:4). How did we get so far from the original gospel message? In order for us to understand the great falling away from the original gospel is to understand the origin of the Trinity.
