Proof in the New Testament that Jesus is the One Lord and Only True God

This is the beginning of a series of New Testament scriptures that prove without a doubt that "Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty" (Deuteronomy 64, Luke 2:11)

Let’s do this. I’m going to change the structure of the New Testament from the Old Testament Scriptures which were given to you in the previous pages to show the nature of God and his operation through the body of Christ, going from Spirit to flesh. By this change of structure, using the Old and New Testaments together, we hope that you can better understand the human thought patterns and the fleshy name of God in Christ.

The pattern of the scriptures changed from prophecy and instructions to the fulfillment of a promise. Therefore, let’s change the flow of our thought patterns in order to understand the operations of God through Christ. Think of this as the “Jazz of writing.” Writing something in a different format and still going with the same flow and thought pattern.

The biggest controversy in all Christendom is “The Deity of Jesus Christ.” Whether Jesus is “the Father,” the one God of all creation. In other words; is Jesus the only God? We will give you some clearly defined scriptures to prove that Jesus is not only the Son of God but he is also God the Father who came to earth to save his people from their sins. In the New Testament we can clearly see that Jesus is the Son of God and that he is the Holy Spirit. In addition to these manifestations, we will show you how all scriptures are interconnected to prove that Jesus is God, “The Father.”

In terms of the Holy Spirit, when we say we have the Spirit of Christ in us, we understand that this is the name of the Holy Spirit (Jesus Christ - Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, I Peter 1:11). However, our main focus is to show that Jesus is the Father, the Almighty God of heaven and earth using the New Testament as a foundation. Once we have finished studying the New Testament, we can understand that in the body of Jesus Christ, there are the manifestations of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Colossians 1:19, 2:8-10). Study the “Golden Nuggets” at the end of the book.

As aforementioned. The Bible is full of redundancy. Therefore, you will find in all the writings in the Old and New Testaments, redundancy galore. Take a look at the Old Testament and see how many times God says, “I am the Lord,” “I am the Lord your God.” For example, look at the book of Leviticus, starting from the 18th chapter to the 26th chapter. God says the same things over and over again in different forms and in different contexts. The things that God is saying are; I’m one God, I am the one Lord, and I am your God. You will read the same type redundancy in this writing. The redundancy will remind you and help you understand that God will give you the revelation if you will believe in his name and his oneness. God gives his name in a mystery and you will only understand the mystery through the revelation of Christ. If you believe Jesus is God, you will see the mystery. If you don’t believe Jesus is the one Lord, you can’t see it (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11, Ephesians 4:5).

The mystery of God’s name is common sense mixed with simple logic. Therefore, in this book, when you see so many things being said more than once, and so many scriptures being used more than once, you will see how God addresses the concepts of his Deity. Again, God says the same thing in many contexts over and over again. For example; these scriptures show how many times that God says he is one. Deuteronomy 4:35,39, 6:4, 32:39, I Samuel 2:2, II Samuel 7:22, I Kings 8:60, II Kings 19:15, 19, Psalms 86:10, Isaiah 40:25, 42:8, 43:10,11, 44:6, 8, 45:5, 6, 15, 18, 21, 22, 46:9, 48:11, 12, Hosea 13:4, Joel 2:27, Zechariah 14:9, Malachi 2:10, 3:16, Mark 12:29, 30, 32, John 8:41, Romans 3:29-30, I Corinthians 8:4, 6, Galatians 3:20, Ephesians 4:5, 6, I Timothy 2:5, James 2:19.

Why would you think that God would tell us so many times that he is one? I believe in the infinite wisdom of God, he knew that man would try to portray him as being “three distinct persons in one” which is not scriptural. God doesn’t know of any other persons in the Godhead (Isaiah 44:8). Therefore to a believer there is only one God, no question about that. Anything else is heresy.

Let’s do this. I’m going to give you the scripture and you should get your Bible and follow the pattern so that you can get a clear understanding that Jesus Christ is the only God (The Father). Read the scripture, then read the explanation provided. I suggest you use the King James version of the Bible. There will be some translations which are my own, based on my understanding of the revelation, mystery, and body of Christ. My translations will not necessarily be translations found in any other books. However, some books might have the same translation with a different favor.

In all of the books that are mentioned from Matthew through Revelation you will find that every scripture points to the method of salvation which is in the name of Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation. These scriptures will be synergistic with all other scripture. In other words; all scriptures that are mentioned will come to the same conclusion and point to salvation.

Study the “Golden Nuggets” at the end of the book for a different format which explains the Deity of Christ. Let’s start our commentary with the book of Matthew.
