The Three Persons of one God

There is a Trinitarian belief that states that there are three persons in the Godhead and those three persons make One God. God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit, who are three separate and distinct persons. In my reasoning, you have told me you believe in either three gods, three persons or both. Even if you think of three persons in the Godhead, that is untrue. Is there a scripture which challenges Job 13:7-8, Hebrews 1:1-3, II Corinthians 5:19, John 14:9 and Colossians 2:8-9, which clearly states that God is in one person? Based on God’s Word, the Trinitarian doctrine is very confusing, unsound, and doesn’t make sense.

One thing we must not forget is that there is only one Person in the Godhead, and that one Person is Jesus Christ. (Malachi 1:6-10, Hebrews 1:3, Philippians 2:6, 10-11, Colossians 1:13-19, Colossians 2:8-10). The other two manifestations, the Father and The Holy Spirit are manifestations of a Spiritual, one Person God and not persons in the classic sense of the word. When we read about the attributes of the manifested Spirit of God in different contexts, we believe they are persons, but they are not; they are and always will be one Spirit and one Person in a different form. (I Corinthians 10:4, 12:13, Ephesians 4:4).

God tells us that He has communicated with us in many forms but He is one Person and He speaks to us through Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:1-3). There is not a scripture in the whole Bible which specifically identifies God as Persons. “Persons” is a manmade concept and “tradition of men” which tries to explain the Deity of God. The Trinity is “an assumption” that God is three persons. Colossians 8-12, explains that the Deity of God is in the one body of Jesus Christ and we are complete in him. This scripture also makes it clear that we are buried with Jesus Christ by baptism (Acts 2:38).

Again, look at Hebrews 1:2-3, God tells us that in the last days, He has spoken unto us by his Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. (John 1:10, I Corinthians 8:6, Colossians 1:14-19). Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. The “Right Hand of the Majesty on high” means the highest position of power in the realm of God. In addition, the person referred to in this scripture is Jesus Christ, the express image of God. If you would notice that the word “person” is singular.

There is only one person in the Godhead, not three as we have been taught through our traditional Trinitarian philosophy. If God wanted us to know He was more than one person surely, God is wise enough to identify himself as persons without us making an assumption that He is three persons. And because of the wisdom of God, He identified himself as “one person” in Job 13:6-9 and Hebrews1:3.

If we believe that God is true, He only has to speak one time and that makes His Word true. We don’t need any other scripture to verify his Word unless we didn’t understand what God said the first time. God has always maintained that He is one person, which is consistent with his Words in the Old Testament. The Old Testament Words are now revealed in the New Testament.

Jesus stressed the oneness of God with the phrase, “The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. (Mark 12:29). It is biblically incorrect to speak of God as a trinity of persons. “Persons” in reference to God is not in the Bible, nor is there a commandment to worship three persons. This makes the doctrine of the Trinity an unsound doctrine because it can’t be proven. There is no man on this earth who can prove the existence of a Trinity in God. We can use human logic and traditions to think that God is three persons but the Trinity is unscriptural. The Trinitarian doctrine should never be associated with the Christian faith. True Christians are strictly monotheistic (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11, Mark 12:29, Philippians 2:6, 10-11, Colossians 2:8-10).

How is it that Trinitarians will tell God that He is three persons? If I were a Trinitarian, I would read these scriptures over and over until I get it. Let’s do an experiment which will tell you immediately whether God is three persons or one person. If you know your Bible, find a scripture anywhere in God’s Word where He refers to Himself as three persons. Then let me show you where God has spoken of himself as one Lord and one person (Deuteronomy 6:4, Job 13:7-8, Luke 2:11, I Corinthians 10:4, II Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9, Hebrews 1:3).

God will not contradict himself. God is one Lord and one person and He has revealed himself as one person in the face of Jesus Christ. (Deut. 6:4, Luke 2:11, II Corinthians 4:6).
