In order to fully understand the revelation of Jesus Christ and the mystery of the gospel, God will have to open your understanding as he did with the apostles in Luke. It’s impossible to find a person who can fully understand the mystery of the gospel the first time it's shown to them without the help of the Holy Spirit. God himself will reveal the mystery and revelation of Jesus Christ to the person who will diligently seek him
After Jesus asked Peter who he was; Peter told Jesus that he was the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16:16). Jesus responded to Peter that flesh and blood had not revealed this to him. Jesus knew that only his own Spirit, the Father, reveals the mystery of the gospel. In Luke 24: 25-27, 44. Jesus is explaining to the apostles that Moses and the prophets were talking directly to him about his coming as the Messiah. Moses was speaking to Jesus, the Everlasting Father, and the prophets were talking about his coming in the form of a man (Isaiah 9:6, 53, I Corinthians 10:4).
There is no shame in not knowing who Jesus is, even though, you have been walking with him for many years. The apostles walked with Jesus daily, yet they did not know him until he opened their understanding. Seek the Lord diligently and he will personally open your understanding.
The mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of salvation. On many occasions, Paul, had expressed that his understanding of the mystery of the gospel, came through revelation (Eph. 3:1- 6).
Salvation is by grace from God and through faith in the saving power of Jesus name (Acts 2:38). Therefore, one doesn’t have to have a full revelation of Jesus Christ in order to be saved, however, he must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. According to Random House Webster’s College dictionary 2000, 2nd revised and updated edition. New York., N.Y. Diligently means constant and earnest in effort and application; attentive and persistent in doing something; done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking; a diligent search.
The mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ will be revealed to believers in the same manner as God revealed the revelation to Peter (Matthew 16:17). Flesh and blood cannot reveal this mystery to an unbeliever. One would have to seek the Lord diligently and pray for the wisdom and knowledge of God to get an understanding of how Jesus Christ can be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:19-22, II Corinthians 4:3-6).
There will be many of you who will see this revelation immediately because your heart is fertile ground. However, one would have to be careful that Satan doesn’t take this newly learned revelation of Christ out of your heart. Many people who don’t believe that Jesus is Lord will try to dissuade you from seeking more of the knowledge and mystery of Christ. They will try to tell you there is one Lord in the Old Testament, one Lord in the New Testament and one Lord who came back as the Holy Spirit.
The whole premise of my book is to explain to you that there is but one Lord who is the same Lord in both the Old and New Testaments and his name is Jesus Christ, the monotheistic God of Israel (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11, Ephesians 4:5). One would find that the mystery of Christ doesn’t fit with the traditions and dogma of some of the modern day churches. Some Churches today want to hold on to their paganistic views of the Trinity while ignoring the monotheism of God (II Cor. 11:13-15, I Tim. 4:1-2, II John 1:9, I Peter 2:8). One must seek the Lord/God for himself/herself and study to show that they are approved of God, then God will reveal himself to them.
