Understanding The Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations: In terms of the Messiah, What is the understanding...: "The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah whom they will recognize as being God himself and not some other god or some other Saviour. Jews..."

In terms of the Messiah, What is the understanding of the Jews and the Christians?

The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah whom they will recognize as being God himself and not some other god or some other Saviour. Jews are strictly monotheistic. Therefore, they will recognize the Messiah as the same God who spoke to Moses, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What's interesting is that Jesus didn't mind the apostles knowing He was the Messiah but He didn't want other people to know it (Matt 16:15-20). He didn't want Satan to blow his cover either (Luke 4:41). If the Jews in that day would have known He was the Messiah, they would have expected him to bring political and economic freedom; but that was not the purpose for which He was born.

There are Messianic Jews who realize that Jesus is the Messiah and recognize him as their Lord and Saviour. Jews for Jesus, and the Jewish Voice are Jewish Organizations which are prime examples. I feel some of them are closer to knowing the true nature of Jesus than some our Gentile Christian followers. Some of our Messianic Jewish organizations don’t fully understand their oneness foundation as it relates to true Christianity. Trinitarian Christians and Jews as a whole are remiss in their understanding of the Messiah. They don’t understand why they must be baptized in his name, neither do they understand the born again experience. On a smaller scale, there are other Christians and Messianic Jews who do understand who Jesus is. Some Christian followers don't recognize him as the one God of the Old Testament. Some Christians see him as the Son in the Godhead rather than the Godhead being in the Son. Other Christians and Jews have a tendency to look over the fullness of the Godhead being in the body of Jesus, even though, Jesus has mentioned it on more than one occasion (John 8:24, 58, 14:7, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9).

The scriptures tells us over and over that God was made flesh, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, this is my beloved son, in whom, I'm well pleased. Jesus said, the Father is in me and I'm in him, without controversy, God was manifested in the flesh. Jesus said, I am the Almighty (Revelation 1:8). Isaiah said, Jesus is the everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6). I John 5:20 said, Jesus is the only True God and John said, he was in the world and the world was made by him (John 1:10). All these scriptures tell us;

1. Jesus is God and the Messiah whom the Jews are looking for. The Jews and most of the other religions see Jesus as a prophet only and not as God himself.

2. He is the Son whom some Christians followers don't understand as being God the Father of all creation, who made the world, dominions, principalities and powers whether they are visible or invisible. He was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not (John 1:10, Colossians 1:14-19).

I feel, if the Jews and true Christians would get together for some dialogue with Jesus being the focus, they will find out that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. The same God who spoke out of heaven to the prophets is the same God who spoke to Paul on the road to Damascus. God changed himself to accomplish the salvation of man by himself. God said, if there is another God, I don't know him. If Jews and Christians were to have a dialogue, they would learn two things;

1. The Jews will learn that Jesus is the Messiah, the One God who talked to their forefathers and the Prophets. God said, when the Jews find out that they pierced him (Jehovah), all the Jewish families will mourn for him in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon (Zechariah 12:10-14).

God said, they shall look upon me whom they have pierced. Jesus is God and Saviour. Then God says, they will mourn for him, indicating that he will have a body separate from his Spirit. In other words, another manifestation of himself (Matthew 24:30)

2. Some Christians will learn that the Messiah is God himself. Jesus is God and Saviour. The Jews and the Christians would have to come to the realization that the only way to be saved will be to have faith, believe and recognize Jesus as the one God of the universe and Father of all creation. Jesus said, no man cometh unto the Father but by me. They would have to understand that salvation in this dispensation is by repentance (Mark 1:15), baptism in Jesus name for remission of sins (Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3, Colossians 2:12), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:16-18).

The scriptures say, he that believes and is baptized, shall be saved. Knowing the Old Testament scriptures and how God instructed the prophets to prepare sacrifices, we should understand that the baptism in water must be performed exactly the way God wants it. Otherwise, the sacrifice will not be accepted. One should not try to rationalize what God said; do as he said.

God is sovereign and based on the scriptures as we know them, all must be washed, baptized, in the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, for remission of sins. If these religions or any religion don't believe in repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the reception of the Holy Spirit, according to the scriptures, how can they see the kingdom of heaven? One must have a good conscience toward God by baptism (I Peter 3:21, Romans 6:3, Colossians 2:12). As the writer of this book, I will only relay the Word the way it’s given to me. I am not the judge. I can only relay what God’s Word says. You should not take comfort in what I say, you must search the scriptures for yourself. You will be your own judge.

You will be the one who will determine whether you have followed the Word of God. God will be the final judge as to whether you were right. I would suggest that you try to get it right before you meet God.
