In the book of James there is proof that Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty (Deut. 6:4, Luke 2:11)

James 2:19

The devil believes that there is only One God and tremble. I know that there are some followers of Christ who think they believe in one God but, in fact, they don’t believe in a monotheistic God. How can one believe in three separate and distinct persons that are one? That doesn’t make sense. This is a perversion of the gospel and is untrue (Hebrews 1:3). If the devil doesn’t believe his own lie that there are three gods/persons. Why should we believe it?

We, the children of Jesus Christ believe that there is only One God without any other justifications or reasonings. Jesus Christ is God and there is no other. To recap, Satan and his devils realize that God is one and that his name is Jesus Christ and they tremble at the thought. Mark 1:34. Yet, Satan will try to get us to believe there are “three gods or three persons in one God.” This “three person” theory is a perversion of the scriptures and is untrue.

I believe that Satan realizes that the power of God is in the oneness of his name – Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, 9:1-5 - God tells us His name). And Satan understands that Jesus Christ will destroy his kingdom, therefore, he trembles at the very thought of his destruction at the hand of Jesus Christ, the one God of heaven and earth. In Peter we understand that Jesus is the Lamb of redemption who takes our sins away.

In Philemon and Hebrews there is proof that Jesus Christ is the one Lord God Almighty (John 1:1, 10, 14)

Philemon 1:3

On most occasions Paul would acknowledge who he is writing to. He would greet them in the name of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul understands what he is saying, however, there are people who believe in more than one God who wouldn’t understand what Paul is saying. Let’s look at this scripture. “Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Translation: Grace to you, and peace, from God who is the Father even his manifestation as the Lord Jesus Christ. In Hebrews God shows us that Jesus is the brightness of the glory of God.

Hebrews 1:1-3

Jesus is the brightness of the glory of God. God has spoken to us in various ways, in his Spiritual form, throughout the Old Testament. However in these last days, God has spoken to us in his earthly body of Christ who, in his Spirit form, made the worlds. Jesus Christ is the bodily image of God himself (Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9). If there were ever a question of whether God is one person or three persons, this scripture should clarify the whole matter once and for all. However, there are some who will choose not to believe even though the Word of God expressly explains his manifestations as one person. When we see Jesus Christ as one person, we will be looking at the express image God himself.

The Word of Jesus Christ keeps everything in alignment in the universe because everything whether they be visible or invisible were created by the power and Word of Jesus Christ. God’s name has always been Jesus Christ, however, his name was not made visible until these last days. God has chosen to incorporate his full power into the body of Jesus and has used the body of Christ to glorify himself. God has clearly identified himself as Jesus Christ. In other words, we have not seen God in the Spirit but we have seen him in the flesh. He was declared, made manifest, seen by man, in the flesh by Jesus Christ (John 1:18).

Additionally, we have, on occasion, explained “the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Because we can’t understand how God can have a right or left hand. Our logic becomes entangled in the weakness of our natural knowledge, not fully understanding the Spiritual realm of God.

Since I believe there is only one God, I realize that God has incorporated his full power and Deity into the body of Jesus. The purpose was to die for our sins through the shedding of blood and to allow us to see him. God in the fullness of his Spiritual form cannot be seen by man (John 1:18). However, we have clearly seen the manifestation of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Thus, God would declare that he is in the body of Christ (Mark 1:11, II Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:14-19, 2:9). In these last days, we have seen God through the apostles and we have handled him in a form that we can understand. God calls the relationship with his fleshly manifestation, “the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Jesus Christ in his glorified body is in the highest position of power in the Spiritual realm of God. He is the “right hand of the power of God.” Therefore, Jesus Christ is in the position of power. Jesus is the one on the throne (Matthew 28:18).

Hebrews 1:8

Jesus is the one on the throne because he is God. Once we understand God’s Spiritual relationship to his bodily manifestation, we can understand how the Spiritual form of the Godhead can give all power to his bodily manifestation in the form of his Son, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18, Colossians1:14-19, 2:9, Hebrews 1:8).

Therefore, God is letting us know in this scripture, that he has now taken on the form and the express image of Jesus Christ who is his Son. God is the Son and his throne is forever and ever. That’s the reason that God has said in I John 2:23, that whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. In John 14:10, Jesus said I am in the Father, and the Father is in me. The Words that I speak and the things I do, I don’t do them in this flesh. These things are done by the power of my Spirit.

If you deny Jesus Christ in any form concerning his heavenly relationship to the Spirit of God, you will not have the Father. There is no question that Jesus Christ is our one Lord God and Saviour and there is no other (Isaiah 52:6, Revelation 1:8, 11, 22:13). The purpose of the body of Jesus Christ, God’s body, is to shed his blood for the sins of mankind. God himself shed his own blood (Acts 20:28). Jesus Christ is our God and Saviour and without the shedding of blood, there is no remissions of sins.

Hebrews 9:22

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Based on our knowledge of the scriptures, we understand that Jesus Christ has shed his blood for our salvation and remission of sins. Again, we understand that Jesus Christ is God and that God has shed his own blood and has performed all these miraculous events by himself and for himself through Jesus Christ.

There are a number of religious leaders who would not deny that Jesus Christ is God. However, they believe that Jesus is one of two other gods. Even though, we can prove in both the Old and New Testaments that Jesus is “the” God, they cannot understand how Jesus can be the only God.

Let me give you another scripture that shows the synergism and continuity of God’s Word. Let’s prove again that Jesus Christ is the only God. Let’s go back to Acts 20:28. “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Let’s recap some aforementioned concepts. God in his Spirit form doesn’t have blood. Jesus Christ is both the flesh and Spirit of God.

Therefore, God can say that we were purchased with his own blood because he is in the body of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the one Lord God of heaven and earth who shed his own blood (Colossians 1:19, 2:8-10). Remember that God will reward those who diligently seek to know him (Hebrews 11:6).

God will reward those who diligently seek to know him. In this scripture God gives us an invitation to get to know him. However, you must first believe that he is God. You must have faith in the name of Jesus Christ because without faith, it’s impossible to please him. You must want to know the mystery and knowledge of Christ and seek God’s wisdom with all your heart and soul. Seek the Lord diligently and he will reveal himself to you and you will draw a new strength and understanding of his word.
