In the book of Mark 4:11-20, Jesus explains the mystery to the apostles

Mark 4:11-20

“And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables,”

One would think that Jesus is only allowing certain people to understand salvation. You are right. Unless one is sincerely seeking to know the mystery, revelation, and salvation of Jesus Christ, he/she will never understand it, nor see it. Everyone is offered salvation but your heart must be pure and you must believe that Jesus is God and that he is a rewarder to him/her who will diligently seek him. What is the mystery of the kingdom? The mystery of the kingdom is – Jesus Christ is the one and only true God of the universe and one can only receive salvation through his name. There is no God other than the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s highest and eternal name (Isaiah 9:6, 43:10-11, Acts 4:12, 9:1-5. I John 5:20, Revelation 1:8).

Let’s look at this scripture this way. One will hear the Word preached that Jesus is God, which means, Jesus is Lord, yet there will be someone who will say that Jesus is not God the Father, which is a contradiction to Isaiah 9:6 and John 14:7-9, which says Jesus is the everlasting Father. Satan will come and take the Word out of their hearts. They could have been saved if they would have believed.

You will have people who will hear the Word, see it in the Bible and be glad about the revelation. When the new believer tries to tell someone about who Jesus is, they will be persecuted for his/her knowledge that Jesus is God and that they should be baptized in Jesus name. When they are ridiculed they will become offended and quit seeking God - stony ground.

In another instance, you will have people who will hear that Jesus is God and the story of salvation and it doesn’t mean very much to them, they will go on with their daily lives not seeking to learn more about salvation. The Word is sown among thorns - unfruitful.

Then you will have people who are seeking salvation. They will hear the Word, repent, get baptized in Jesus name, get filled with his Holy Spirit and then go out to witness to others who are lost. They will be fruitful through the Holy Spirit - good ground.

Jesus said, if you had known me, you would have known my Father also. No one can go to the Father nor receive salvation except through Jesus Christ because Jesus is the Father (John 14:6, Isaiah 9:6). Therefore one must believe his Word and diligently seek salvation in the name of Jesus Christ, the everlasting Father of the universe.
