Old Testament: God is the Lord
Leviticus 20:24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people.
Leviticus 22:31-33 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the Lord which hallow you, That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord. Additional Old Testament Scriptures are Leviticus 23:43, 25:17.
New Testament: Jesus is the Lord
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord.
John 20:28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Note: Jesus is Lord and God. There is only one Lord Ephesians 4:5. Jesus is that one Lord. The One Lord is spoken about throughout the Old and New Testament. There are not two (2) Lords. There is not, one Lord in the Old Testament and one Lord in the New Testament. The Lord that spoke to the prophets in the Old Testament is the same Lord who spoke to the apostles, in person, in the New Testament (Jesus Christ – Acts 9:5).
